I'm Committee 5B. Devastated to say I didn't receive funding. Got a pretty terrible ranking, too. Feeling just in the dumps.

There was a zip file and two other PDF documents in the files. The two other documents are the ones that had the statistics in them.

I just found out last name starts with P. Awarded! Committee 4D.

Made an account simply to say - thanks to this forum for the needed sanity check, during what has been an insanely stupid process.

I got the Doctoral Fellowship, received an email about an hour ago. This is great and all, but this whole process has been dehumanizing. FRQSC manage to release all their results at a set time and set date. All at once. That SSHRC can't do this blows my mind. Instead they drip fed the results out, and their crappy 'Extranet' is a sloppy piece of junk.

The whole process stinks. Whether you were lucky or unlucky today, don't forget that.

Give SSHRC feedback (I will be doing so). Tell them (constructively!) what you think of their way of doing things. Tell them how much needless anxiety they caused. How much stress and wasted time. They need to do better.

I know, but my zip file is missing the two documents that were mentioned in the letter of acceptance (Notice of Decision and Notice of Award).

First off I want to say thank you to this forum for all the information! While I have been anxiously awaiting for my results, I found that this forum brought me a sense of peace. 

I am so happy to share that I won CGS-D!! Last name starts with W. 

These are my stats:

Score: 11.01/12

Applications: 97, 41 offered, 56 not offered 

It's definitely been a long journey!

I am in complete agreement. Releasing by alphabetical order is archaic. Yes, I am thrilled but also I feel like the build up of anticipation through the day (and month preceding it) was awful, and terrible for those who were not successful. Thanks to njw222 for the suggestion of provide constructive, but critical feedback - I certainly will be doing this, as I am sure there can be a better way of doing this all around.

Those documents were separate from the zip file for me. They were just on the main page on the extranet. It could be an error on their part if they aren’t on your extranet page.

Congratulations!! Seems like the margins are super thin and the competition for 3D was strong. My score was 10.89 and I didn't received CGS-D (still absolutely thrilled to have gotten a Doctoral Fellowship though!).

I received the same letter, and I am wondering too. Did you find anything out? Did they just send that same letter to everyone who made it to this round? As in, if we made it this far we are considered "recommended for funding"?

My portal had a zip file with 4 docs in it, and then my score and length of award docs were above that zip file separately.

Thank you for clarifying! There is nothing above the zip file. Weird! I’m kind of paranoid now that I actually wasn’t successful or something, since it’s incomplete…

I've gotten a similarly low score and feeling discouraged. It's really frustrating that we don't get any explanations about the scores. (Especially when my prospective advisor, who is a leading scholar in my field, thought that my proposal was outstanding...)

I am planning to reapply next year, but I honestly don't know where to begin

Mine was too. I haven't received a score that low on anything since my undergrad.
