Does anyone have any knowledge of when UNC and Rice tend to release their decisions?

UNC the second week of February; Rice I have no idea, but probably in the next two weeks (according to last year data).

Does being interviewed mean I’m on the shortlist or am I highly considered candidate? I’m just very curious how likely I am to be admitted after being interviewed

It means they're interested enough in you to offer you an interview. They aren't going to waste their time interviewing a bunch of people they don't like. But it's not a guarantee of an offer. It is however a good omen.

I’m hoping to hear back from Rice sometime this week! Someone said they got an interview invite from rice, but I’m pretty sure Rice doesn’t interview.

I got an interview invite from Vanderbilt last Wednesday and Vandy seems to release some acceptances about ~2 weeks after interviews. Hopeful for good news in near future.

Yeah Rice haven't in previous years - it's possible they do sometimes depending on POI though?

ETA: Wisconsin results usually come out this week, so I'm crossing everything for that!

I'm *kind of* thinking that we may be hearing from Brown tomorrow — they set out a few interview invites last week, and going off of previous years, they tend to send out acceptances/rejections the Tuesday after interviews.

Does anyone have a guess as to when Northwestern, UChicago, and Princeton's decisions will be released?

Based on previous years:

Turn of the month for northwestern; 6-11 of February for UChicago; mid-February for Princeton (this one I'm less certain)

Last year Rice was Jan 20th and UNC Feb 10th!

I'd guess we'll hear something from Rice next week.

Does UNC normally interview their applicants? I haven’t seen anything yet.

Princeton tends to be the first week of February from previous records (some Jan results from last year were trolls).

I received an interview request from Georgetown (comparative) yesterday. Does anyone know when they release the results?

If you search the result page for last year it should give you an idea!

Did anyone else just get an email from Rice about tours in the spring? I almost had a heart attack and... nothing

ETA: to be clear, this was nothing to do with admissions!

what happened to GWU lol. I'm expecting it to release more results but it's been two days and nothing comes out.

It's my first time applying, so this may be a dumb question- but does anybody know how much more likely I am to move off of the waitlist if a faculty member reached out to me? Like I got waitlisted and then a faculty member emailed me a few days later to set up a call so that he could advocate for me. Does that count as an interview? Or is that something different?
