Eigen Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 one who orders things in the lab, takes care of equipments, provides training to every new face, handle safety stuff and all the 'background' stuff that happen yet grad students and post docs are unaware of/indifferent to I wish we had a technician! eklavya Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I wish we had a technician! That sounds like all the stuff I do in my "spare time". now, now. i did that all during my undergrad and masters so i feel your pain. though, you can't argue that you (and i) are amazing when it comes to fixing machines, acting as pseudo-boss and stuff!!
runonsentence Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Don't they also run some of the more complex equipment? I remember my partner getting calls from techs at his lab occasionally when he was running an experiment.
