ApplicationsTakeTwo Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 My friend got a rejection letter from Penn State in the mail yesterday (he lives in Utah). I'm still waiting for mine, and expect it to show up any day now. My friend is also flying down to Texas AM next week for their interview weekend.
i_am Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Hi, On Monday I had a telephonic interview with a Univ (Marketing program, PhD). At the end of the telecon, the marketing chair said, "You will shortly be receiving an offer from our side." Was that what is known as a "verbal offer"? I was not told about the financial package, nor when the offer letter would come. Should they not have sent me a written mail confirming the offer by now? And if it was not a verbal offer, what was it? Can someone please explain coz I'm thoroughly confused! Thanks. i_am
revrocksteady Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Just got my first decision - from WUSTL - Rejecteddddddddddddddd ? 1 down - 2 more to wait on....
portugabel Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Accepted: somewhere in the Midwest Rejected: UNC (Kenan), Vanderbilt (Owen), WUStL (Olin), GWU, Oklahoma (Price), Texas (McCombs) Waiting: still a few more Regarding Kansas... Phd in Business will be accepting no one because of funding problems (think it is written on their website).
peanutbutter Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 i was supposed to hear from umd last wk. i will prob follow up today... still no word from duke, wustl, nyu & umd in some ways, i've resigned myself to utter defeat (wow - it's amazing they don't have a crying emoticon or something)
rubes6 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I heard two tops applicants from the University of Washington both just took offers at Maryland. They do offer one of the most attractive stipends around... and really productive people there in OB too
