PTGlab Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 On the same theme as the last post, does anyone know about the PhD program at Louisana Tech? I know it is a relatively new program, but it seems to have some great features which the in house consulting firm. Any responses or insight is appreciated.
cialath Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Everyone I know who attends Louisiana Tech says Ruston is really boring... That's pretty much all I know
PTGlab Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Yeah that is what I kind of expected, Ruston has something like 20,000 people living there.
JamesIo Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Ruston is actually not that bad. It's a good environment to get a PhD. Rent is cheap and the neighborhoods are quiet. As you mentioned, the program is new, but it really has a lot to offer.
rgh80 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Was just accepted off of the waiting list at George Washington University. Very likely going to accept. Excited
PTGlab Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) Accepted the offer at DePaul today! Which other schools were you accepted to if you do not mind me asking? Congratulations BTW! Edited March 30, 2012 by PTGlab

mkeegin Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Which other schools were you accepted to if you do not mind me asking? Congratulations BTW! Thank you!! I was also accepted into Wayne State's MA and Elmhurst's MA programs. I was on a "short list" at UConn's PhD program so I sent them all my declining e-mail yesterday. Hope this helps!
smock1020 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I declined an offer for Illinois Institute of Technology's PhD program earlier this week. I hope that helps those who may have been waitlisted.
Caitlinelise10 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I will be declining offers to Central Michigan's PhD program and Albany SUNY's PhD program this weekend. Hope it helps someone!
Jameslv08 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I will be accepting UMSL's offer and declining the rest this weekend. Best of luck and don't give up hope yet to everyone on the waitlists. I was on the waitlist at UMSL originally.
gradguy Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 This thread slowed down quite a bit. Did everyone do okay? Looks like the most departments set their decision deadlines for the next week or so.
