Applying for: IEOR Ph.D. or Math Ph.D. Undergraduate: Asian engineering school Major: Math + EE GPA: 3.88, major GPA: 3.90 GRE: Q800(94%), V670(95%), AW3.5(30%) Work Experience: 2+ years as a programmer I applied for the following schools: Princeton ORFE - Rejected MIT ORC - Rejected Stanford MS&E - Rejected Northwestern IEMS - Rejected Cornell ORIE Michigan IOE - Contacted via E-mail (3/1) Chicago Math - Rejected Minnesota Math NYU Math Columbia Stat Now I'm preparing for an interview with a professor of U of Michigan and since I'm not an IEOR major, I'm pretty nervous about it. Official email will be sent out soon.(Maybe after their spring break...) I have also accepted by the ACO program in Gatech a week ago. It's hard for me to decide which program is better. 33andathirdRPM Posted March 5, 2013 Share Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) I received an acceptance to Minnesota's ISYE MS program today. However, I have only applied to Ph.D. programs. The only things that may have happened are that I accidentally selected MS instead of Ph.D. on my application (which I highly doubt) or that I have been accepted to the MS instead of the Ph.D. program. Is there a way to know if a program has accepted an applicant to the MS instead of the Ph.D. program without some communication indicating that? Edit - Never mind. I went back into my records and I did apply to the Ph.D. program. It appears that I was only accepted into the MS program. Dave Morton is one of the bests in stochastic programming. and Hasenbein is pretty good in stochastic networks.
