intlrlns Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I had an unfortunate typo so really glad they saw beyond that! Congratulations all.
Pinkman Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) In at GWU too! Still waiting to hear about aid but pretty pleased. Edited March 11, 2013 by Pinkman
elohelay Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Accepted to the Global Communication program! Also waiting on funding. Was very surprised as well, my SOP could genuinely have been better. Congrats to all on their decisions!
JFactor Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I'm in as well. Congratulations everyone! I got a great offer from AU already so I'm really looking forward to what GW has to say later this week when it comes to scholarships.
The Mark Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Somehow I managed to squeak through. I'm in at International Trade and Investment Policy!
Kadisha Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Admitted! I can breathe now. Waiting on financial aid info.
dyavrom Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 hope this hasn't been discussed ad nasuem, i did search and came up with a few results but... I just got accepted into the GWU Intl Dev Studies program (!), ideally to focus on development economics. I'm from California and was assuming id only get into schools here (I got into USC and UCLA for their public policy programs). How does GWU stack up reputation wise over in D.C.? And what are the job prospects like, is DC over saturated with students already? Are their better schools that recruit leaving GWU in the dust? I want to get into econ development sort of work, either public or private...wont matter so much right away. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on the school and if its a worthwhile choice Thank you
ValarDohaeris Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Apparently there were over 2000 applicants for a desired class size of 350.
leon32 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 In for international security, didn't think I'd make it, but now just have to see about funding.
PrattIAFF Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Congrats all around! Now fellowships should be announced in a few days.
julst Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I'm in for global communication :-) Congrats to all of you!
The Mark Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Anyone know if you can pick up a second concentration at Elliott and, if so, what that involves? Now that I've been admitted to International Trade and Investment Policy, I've found myself interested in possibly pursuing Security Policy Studies as well.
JFactor Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Do you guys think we're going to find out about funding this week? The decision letter strongly indicated that but I wonder if anyone has actually contacted them and got a response regarding that.
ValarDohaeris Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 They said yesterday on their Facebook page that they hope to get that info out in the next few days, and looking at previous years in the results search, it looks like funding info went out around 3 or so days after admission decisions were released.
Pinkman Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Just heard from Elliott. No funding at all. Sucks.
av260987 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Ok, funding decision just in, via email. I didn't get any All the best to the rest!
