As you all know, because of my very public freakout while waiting to hear from them, that I was rejected from Boston College. I didn't receive a formal rejection letter; at a certain point, I simply called them up and asked.

ANYHOO. So yesterday my official rejection letter came, telling me I had not been admitted....into a program for which I had not applied. I applied for the MTS, and I received a letter telling me how I hadn't been admitted for the MATM.

I would write this off to simple error were it not for the fact that my application *had* been misfiled at one point into the MATM pile, an error I had had corrected. So I'm wondering if that error was corrected, and if I was even considered for the correct program. While I'm sure that this wouldn't make really any difference, do you guys think this is is a line of questioning worth pursuing?

Danke.

Call em up! My app was "lost" for a month, I had to repeatedly call them/get shuffled around to everyone at BC to correct it; and then there was another technical issue with my app. Point is, they're not infallible, see if there's anything they can do

It can't hurt to follow up. When you interviewed with them, was there anything in your conversation that might have indicated which degree they were considering you for? In other words, do you think they interviewed you for the wrong degree?

Wow. Yeah, I would definitely call them... And if their immediate answer is, "you didn't make it," ask some pointed questions about the now at least double mixup to make sure they didn't make even more errors....

They were open today?

FWIW, I was writing to say, 'go for it!' along with the plethora of other positives... :)
