Kleene Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 You should have made a poll. Gotta love statistics. I will turn 21 in September, when I start my PhD.
HistoryGypsy Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 30 right now, but I'll turn 31 a few months before I start.
smpalesh Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I think it is pretty common for ages to be varied for graduate students. I am going to be 36 when I start, 37 when I finish. I stayed home for 10 years to be there for the early years of my kids lives and then went back to school.
PurpleZephyr Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 27 now. Will be 28 when my program starts in the Fall.
foreignstudent Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 27 now...28 if I apply again next year..
jeetlebuice Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I'm 21 but I'll be 22 when I start the program!
jayedger Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I'm 36 and applying for PhDs. Finished my Masters at 34, did a complete career change at about 30. I have some terrific friends that are 8 to 10 years younger than me that I met during grad school.
attackonthedoctor Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 My birthday falls in the middle of the academic year, so I'll be starting at 22.
Sarochan Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) 25 currently, will be 26 by the time Fall 2015 rolls around. Edited February 24, 2015 by Sarochan
WhatAmIDoingNow Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) I'll be entering my PhD program as a 30 year old... I'm getting too old for this student shit Edited February 24, 2015 by WhatAmIDoingNow
museum_geek Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I'm 24 but I'll be 25 when I start my MA in the fall. I'll be 27 or 28 by the time I start a PhD program.
