Akostin Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I received a rejection from Berkeley as well. Strange that so far I've only been accepted to sociology programs. Thankfully I've been accepted to one of my top choice programs but I find this strange seeing as I have a BA in Black Studies.
NoirFemme Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Sorry for the r's everyone. FWIW, a faculty mentor who specializes in AA studies told me that the field is in transition, so programs are super duper selective about applicants bc the job market is so nebulous.

I applied to University of Pennsylvania - Africana ( upcoming Interview), Cornell - Africana, Northwestern - African American Studies, University of Michigan - American Studies (waitlisted), Brown University - American Studies, Rutgers University - American Studies, University of Delaware - History (accepted)
