abc0111
According to the Harvard BIG website, students are placed on a training grant for the first 2 years for stipend and tuition. Does this mean that for the rest of years in the program, students are expected to find financial support through fellowships / etc for stipend and tuition?? The professor usually supports you for the rest of the program, so there's no need to worry about money! Merry Christmas everyone! Merry Christmas everyone! The lab you join is responsible for paying for you, but they'll want you to apply for NSF/NIH F31/other grants, since paying personnel and overhead is a major expense to a lab. Also having a fellowship is a big plus to getting into the lab you want.

Email: "We have had a large number of highly qualified applicants, nearly all of whom have extensive research experience and have had successful academic preparation. We typically make offers to about 10 - 12% of applicants." Edit: sorry i never sent them any email. SystemsBioYu
That is nice. I will visit UCSD 2.3. I am not familiar with these programs. Do your guys have ideas about the admission rate for the interviews? At least Cornell Tri-I seems invites a lot of people.
