SBL Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Congrats all, it's a huge achievement. Got my fingers crossed for Oxon who I know really wanted it.
APGradApplicant Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 To be fair, the email came directly from Professor Nancy Rosenblum, so Thorm Wall might not know that Professor Rosenblum has already sent out the emails. Right. That makes sense. PS- Don't forget to update your signature!

kmp34 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 i'm holding onto hope.. since there are only 2 claims so far on this board and there must be at least a few more people.. right?
Keller65 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 i'm holding onto hope.. since there are only 2 claims so far on this board and there must be at least a few more people.. right? Honestly, if they are registered here, they are probably out celebrating. I would be. Besides, I doubt most of their fall cohort slums around on discussion forums (no offense meant, given my presence).

SBL Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 another UCLA accept just went up on the results page
thatsnotmyname Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Somebody, somewhere is not telling the whole truth. Drama! Congrats to those who got in!
poli90 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 congrats to the harvard admits, and to everyone else: there is life outside of the h-bomb!

Lol I am actually not celebrating - I am just trying to do my seminar readings while procrastinating on gradcafe and youtube Yes now the acceptances are in, but life goes on. There's a lot more work to do in grad school! wannabee and plisar 1 1
FairGame Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 In at Harvard. 29 students admitted. Good luck to everyone! Dude. You ran the table on all your applications which include a bunch of ludicriously-hard-to-get-into schools. Nice.
APGradApplicant Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 In an ideal world, Minnesota and MIT could finish up by the end of the week. That would make this coming weekend a hell of a lot more fun (even if I didn't get in to either, although an admission from at least one of the two would be better).

I notice you have left out Notre Dame. Supposedly they are meeting again this week -- hopefully not to reject everyone that's left. I surmise that you are either down on yourself over ND, or it's dropped off your radar due to better offers.

Chances are that I would probably attend UC-Davis, WashU, FSU, or UT-Austin over them, but at the same time I'm trying to keep my options open and would also like to see their funding offer were I to be admitted. That doesn't need to get back to the adcom though!
FrostedAmbassador Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Congrats to the Harvard admits (especially SP, I have no idea how you do it). Based on last year's results, JHU should be out very soon. I can't wait until this is finally over.
Ziz Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Congrats to all the Harvard admits. Although I am insanely jealous, I hope to meet you all someday at a conference here or there
betteryear Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 do you know if all decisions at Harvard have been mailed out?
mpe Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 In at Harvard (for American). SP - congrats on the perfect sweep. APGradApplicant 1
Ziz Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Last year it seems results were sent over 2 days, but that could just be people delaying in posting them or the fact that the results page seems a little wonky sometimes - around 8pm it changes to the next day. I guess it's on a different time zone.
natofone Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 If I remember correctly from last year (ugh), they sent them out all at once.
Ziz Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 If I remember correctly from last year (ugh), they sent them out all at once. Must just be the timezone thing then.
politicalscienceguy Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Question: If they admit, say, 29, then how many do they expect to enroll? Obviously, not everyone who is admitted there will accept (I may very well be one of those who declines).
