I emailed the department itself because my status hadn't changed and they told me that they would still be reviewing my application for two weeks. Why?

Have you sent email to them? I sent email and they told me they were not allowed to give their decisions via e-mail or over phone. I think its so weird, Then how could I know my status?

Did anyone have received news from AU? I once wrote to the head of their graduate school and was told that I will be informed only by mail with next 7-10 days. Have anybody here had the same experience as me! Any acceptances or rejections???

I'm still waiting to hear back from AU as well! It's killing me. I would love to hear if anyone else got accepted or rejected.

Edit: I just called AU and they said to call back next week; they are hoping to have decisions out before April 15.

Are you referring to American University? If so, I received a rejection from the SIS Ph.D program weeks ago.

By the way, I hate feeding the trolls, but I'm just throwing this out there: The Harvard admits and the Rochester off-waitlist admit are all fakes as far as I'm concerned until someone actually posts on this forum. Harvard wouldn't reject people and then let them in. Similarly, Rochester made very clear I would be the first person that they would talk to if there was an opening. Apparently the dude who's 30 and lives with mom and dad in the basement where he looks at porn all day due to his long-term unemployment started missing the fun he was having on the results postings, so he decided to mess with the people who are still waiting now or who were disappointed not to get into Harvard. Oh well, what a loser...

I just received word that I've been culled from Syracuse's waitlist and admitted with full funding!

Whistler- I e-mailed DGS and was assured that things are still in flux and that I definitely have a shot of being admitted but that it probably wouldn't be until the 14th or 15th if this is the case. Also reiterated that I'm the first person on the wait list they'd offer a spot to should they be able and that there have been no offers to anyone on wait list (didn't specify about rejections). The only way the reject might have been true is if it was a person farther down on the wait list to the point where it's clear he/she won't be able to get a spot.

I definitely can't wait until 11 days from now, when good or bad, there will at least be closure to this whole admissions saga. In the mean time, I'm sure the trolls will continue to have fun...

This waiting is driving me up the wall....especially at one school where admits were notified in late January. Yes, that's right...almost three months ago... it must be fun being behind you in the checkout line. Don't you want things resolved? Go ahead and decline, you will feel all warm inside. The relationship between you and your graduate applications needs closure. "Each indecision brings its own delays and days are lost lamenting over lost days."

I am! I assumed after Christina's email last week we would have received an update regarding waitlistees. The anticipation is killing me! Definitely my top choice.

I did my part by pulling myself off the waitlist the other week! I hope that helped, although it may well not have as I was probably behind you guys on it, haha. Anyhow, thought that would be at least a little reassuring for you guys (meaning UND waiters) to know.
