Hi guys,

I'm glad I found this site. I don't really have anyone to talk to regarding the MFA application process. It was comforting reading your posts. Now I know I'm not the only one freaking out about this. This is my first time applying (I got my BFA last year). Here's my list:

1. Yale - rejected via email (found out yesterday) Don't you think an email rejection letter is not very classy? Anyway..

2. SAIC

3. Columbia

4. RISD

5. UCLA

6. UC Berkeley

7. CCA

The rest, I haven't heard from yet. I am starting to feel very discouraged....*sigh*

Sculpture in every school.

Amen on the tacky email rejection from Yale. It was my last choice, so I feel OK about that. I am hoping for Stanford or USC, since they are free.

Has anyone ever heard of CCA giving a full ride?

Based on the results search data, they should be sending interview invites out within the next two weeks...

I applied to CCA in social practice and have a phone interview. They called me to set up the interview, I don't know if all programs are calling.

I just got a letter in the mail for an interview at SAIC painting/drawing! This comes one week after my wife got her letter to interview at SAIC fibers. I was worried for a while, and now a whole new kind of worrying can start.

You guys have to remember the weather has closed alot of places down on the east coast. (Chicago, NYC, DC, MD, MA) It might take some time.

Stay positive. MICA gave out notifications in March last year. (I hope to Gawd they don't do that this year...)

Cal Arts sent out an interview email today. I got a regular old USPS letter from UNC Greensboro a few days ago.

actually...i was there last semester and dropped out but im still getting all the departmental emails...either way you'll know soon but the snow definitely did shut the school down (at least mica) for a good week

CalArts doesn't have a painting program, it just has Art, Photo and Graphic Design. They sent out emails for Art interviews on Friday.

I heard from VCU painting via email on February 3 that I have an interview

Rejected by Yale on February 5, but I guess you all know that ship has sailed..

My friend was rejected by Tyler via letter on February 12, but I haven't heard anything from them yet. Does anyone know what this means?

Yea, its all just one program. Check your junkmail, my email from them was in my junkmail.

Also just heard back from UNC Chapel Hill today. I got accepted and they recommended me for a school-wide fellowship.
