One week left in February

I have applied 5 programs and still have not heard anything back yet... *chews fingernails!

One program I applied to already held interviews and sent out acceptances but I am still waiting to see any information on the other 4. I have been checking my email and postal mail obsessively and lunge for the phone each time it rings - part of me just wants the miserable suspense to end EVEN if it is all bad news!

I have heard from 0 of 7 masters programs. Surely March must be the month. I have been passing the time by shoveling snow, keeping up with my bookclub and then some, and watching this year's Oscar contenders. Oh, and stress cooking plus stress baking. I made a half-batch of cupcakes and ate 8/11 of them (only because I gave away the other 3).

Sounds like I should take a tip from above posters and channel this stress into exercise.

I am really hoping for March as well - I thought it would be February but I was either incorrect or not a single program I applied to is interested in me. For once, I hope that it is the "I was incorrect" option!

I submitted all of my apps in November. NOVEMBER!!!! No news yet, but no one has heard from any of my programs, and most have now said notification in March. Too much food, wine and wasted internet time. Even knowing there won't be news for two more weeks does not stop me from checking, and checking, and checking. Sigh.

ETA -- I find it comforting to read and re-read my SOP's and confirm I put my best effort out there.

I completely understand! I have an interview on March 10th. I KNOW I won't find out anything until after that (and probably not until April 1st!) but I CANNOT stop checking and hoping anyway! I know it is ridiculous and that I will not find out anything else until then but I think I am just so tired of waiting I am becoming completely irrational

I have re-read my SOP and LORs (that were sent to me after) so many times wondering how the adcom is thinking about them. Getting more confident, less confident, back and forth

I applied to Maryland, James Madison, East Carolina, Towson, and Winthrop... so far I have heard that Maryland already had interviews and sent out acceptance letters (*coughs) and I am still waiting to hear anything back from the other four.

What other forum(s) do you look at? ...like I really need to be obsessive over another one hahaha, but it would be nice to know what other information is out there. No one seems to post about my school on here at all!

Good point. I hadn't thought of snow affecting this process. Great, I guess I'll hear from the rest of my schools in July too. Wow, this really is torture.

I applied to five schools. None of them has responded yet, and the status of my application has not been changed anywhere, either. GAH!! The waiting sucks. I am both overeating AND overexercising! lmao. I guess they cancel eachother out as meaningless ways to pass the time. Should probably be grading papers instead but really having trouble getting up the motivation to evaluate the work of others when I, myself, want so badly to have my work evaluated!! SIGH.

Maybe I'll hear something next week...?
