What info does CSDCAS need to "verify" your application?

I understand that CSDCAS needs to verify your application and this can take up to four weeks to complete. However is it just transcripts that need to be sent in for CSDCAS to verify? Or do they need EVERYTHING including evaluations/letters of rec? What exactly does CSDCAS need in your account for them to move onto the verification process.

 

I am especially wondering because I am nervous that my professors will not get in my evaluations four weeks prior to my application deadlines but I still want my application to get verified before the before the deadlines.

I want to say everything but the letter of recs, but somebody else should chime in just in case! I am in the same boat as you.

As far as I know I think it's just transcripts and fees??? I really am unsure though.

CSDCAS can't verify until you submit your application, so that means you have to have everything in and the LORs requested. The people writing your LOR do not need to send those in early, just by the due date.

Thank you! Quick question, when you say "until you submit your application" you just mean each school's individual application?

I mean that CSDCAS won't start verifying your applications until you submit each schools, yes. Sorry if that was confusing!

Ok great thanks! It wasn't confusing I just wanted to make sure not ALL schools' applications need to be fully complete. That would freak me out more!

Many schools do not require your application to be verified by the due date, of course it doesn't hurt to have them verified anyway!

@Felice and @chloslp answered perfectly! When I applied I just made sure to get them in ahead of time so I wouldn't have to worry about it! But they are both right!

I actually had a question about this. Since I am submitting several applications over the course of the next month, does CSDCAS need to verify my transcripts for each application? I have already submitted one and I was thinking that once it was verified, they would just take the verified transcripts and apply it to each application, along with the calculated GPA. Please tell me this is the case. If not, I can see why they get so backed up.

Pretty sure that verification = your entire app. So if one is verified, they all are. All of mine suddenly changed to verified. It didn't go one by one.

I'm assuming you submitted yours all at the same time, correct? I've had all my transcripts, GRE scores, and LORs in for a while, but I'm really taking my time on all the essays. This is my first experience with CSDCAS, so I just wanted to be sure that the verification process didn't take the full month. Fingers crossed.

It took about 2 weeks for me to get verified after all my transcripts came in and I submitted & paid my for my first app

For those reading this post in the future, I figured out my own question. To get verified you need

- All your transcripts in, complete your transcript entry, and submit/pay for at least one app. Then you get in line for verification. Letters of rec do not need to be submitted to be verified.
