Wahh, I'm so excited but don't know whether this is right: I recently interviewed at Yale. Emailed my POI a couple of days ago to let him know that I had won a competitive fellowship. He congratulated and asked me to get in touch with him when I get "the letter." I really don't want to jinx it but doesn't this looks super positive?

I'm attending an Open House at NYU, in the context of which interviews will be held. I guess it's just their way of emphasizing that it's not just about them evaluating your fit to the department but also about you evaluating their fit to your interests. Judging from the info I have, their Open House is pretty much like the selection/visiting days at other schools. I'm pretty sure that the same is true for the school in Georgia. But why not give them a call?

Hi all. Just got back to (old) England from a set of admission interviews in New England. It was totally exciting and I got first acceptances, yay! But now I can't focus on my current work anymore. What is more, I will be back in the US for more interviews in early March so I anticipate minimal productivity for the coming weeks. I can't wait having made a decision so that I will finally get adrenaline down and focus on actual work again haha. This thread definitely is a great place to reassure oneself that one is not alone in this madness. So thank you all for sharing your thoughts

I wouldn't conclude that yet. I called the department a couple of days ago and was told that invites will be sent in Feb. To be sure, I specifically inquired about the social psych program.

I just called Princeton's psych department. The admissions person told me that the faculty are still reviewing applications for the social psych program and have not yet invited anybody. Interview invitations won't be extended before mid-February, so naizan's info probably refers to a different Ph.D. track.
