Why this makes me unwilling to pursue grad degree abroad? I can't leave in another country and come back with debts, it's undoable! Plus, I have a dependent, so if I'm not sure we'll both live a decent (not fancy) life until I finish my degree, then why do it? I have a prestigious job here, but I just want to study abroad to educate myself ... This is depressing!

I've been worried about Northwestern since the last week of Jan. And I'm fed up, I don't know how hard it is to judge if a person is accepted or not!

No, don't worry. Stress has been there since submission of applications. I'm happy for you and who knows, maybe we'll be colleagues one day

I only applied to 3 programs, and Northwestern was the one with the earliest deadline. I'm very closed to depression too cuz Northwestern notified 2 acceptances on the 7th and the 8th, and when I e-mailed them they said the rest will come in a week and of course nothing happened until now. That's why I was shocked to know that Oregon started notifying. I've had enough waiting for NU for almost 10 days now. So, I hope we both at least have one acceptance. This is my 2nd round of apps, so I'm not ready to do this again!

Exactly, I saw this information before and that's why it feels strange to notify that early. You know, in terms of notifying applicants, Feb 28 is never close to Feb 15. it's frustrating now to wait until forever, every day expecting to hear something

Congratulations! Are you talking about Oregon Comp Lit? It's been only a month since the deadline, I wasn't expect to hear back so soon. I've been waiting for Northwestern (they said they'll be finished by the end of this week, which is yesterday). I'm bored of waiting, really.

Can't tell, I didn't apply to Michigan.

Stress of course. I've been unable to sleep since I saw two acceptances posted on the board last week. I check my e-mail every 5 minutes. I'm an international too and I applied to the MENA cluster. Did you choose to be affiliated to any clusters?

Oh, would it possible that they don't notify by tomorrow? That's a lot of waiting. No wonder that they thanked me for my patience.

They said final decisions will be done by the end of this week, so keep your fingers crossed. What is your concentration? Are you international? Only a couple people in this forum applied to Northwestern, it sucks not to have any information. I hope this ends soon.

I e-mailed them and they said by the end of this week final decisions will be made. Crossing fingers

Congratulations! It's good to know that, since I'm still waiting to hear from Northwestern while 2 acceptances went out almost a week ago. I'll probbaly hear back tomorrow, hopefully good news.

Why would a department send out 2 or 3 acceptances, then wait more than a week to finalize decisions and notify all other applicants? Shouldn't they know by now who is in and who is out, since they've already decided to accept a couple applicants? I don't know if I should think positively about Northwestern (comp lit) being that late after sending out 2 acceptances last week. I e-mailed them and they said they'll be sending out final decisions by the end of this week. They also thanked me for my patience

I e-mailed Northwestern and they replied kindly saying that final decisions will be made by the end of this week. At least I'm glad she didn't tell me i was rejected.

Alright, I'll have to wait then and see what happens.

Well, I've been here all alone looking for any comp lit guys to share anxiety with. Yesterday there was a Northwestern acceptance on the Results board. So, I guess this implies rejection for me since I got nothing.

Wow, I was just checking. When did that happen? and were you hiding or what? I've been looking for someone to share my anxiety... Now I won't be able to sleep
