If schools with Dec. deadlines have not yet notified, what about those with the 15th of Jan. deadlines? Are we going to wait until June or what?

Has anyone here applied to Northwestern comp lit? Am I alone? Last year they notified by the 1st of Feb, I don't know what takes them so long this year. I can't wait anymore

I don't think the former poster meant to be rude, he's just trying to calm you down , just like many of us do in this forum. This is the exact place where you can "pent up emotions" and expect others to sympathize with you. I think that waiting for schools to notify is making everyone nervous. So, cheer up

Thanks! I'm an international, so phone calls are unlikely for me (Thank God). I just hate myself for having to check my app status more than once a day and my e-mail hundreds of times. But do you know if they e-mail acceptances only?

I submitted my app more than 10 days ago and I got two "congratulations" e-mails for just submitting my app. And today I almost had a heart attack when I saw an e-mail with the subject "Check Your Application Status"; it turned out they want me to check my app just to make sure all materials are received!!! Unbelievable

Me too. The dept. e-mailed asking for a missing transcript, and before even sending it, they rejected me

Yes, for those applicants who at least got one acceptance and still waiting to hear from other schools, waiting tends to be fun and exciting because they know they already have a place.

Yes, we're all the same. I check gradcafe, application status and e-mail, every 10-15 minutes max. I think it's logical to become crazy with all that !

Exactly what happened to me when applying to UC Davis. Congratulations e-mails for submitting the app, and another one for completing the app ... very annoying!

From this moment on, I won't be able to leave gradcafe !
