That was my thinking when I applied to USF and USC. They have a cochlear implant focus. I'm wondering if its strictly my GPA and lack of hands on experience.
I had a peer advising position on campus, was an executive board member of NSSLHA, and had an internship at the Governors Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. SLPA are not allowed in my state at all. I wasn't sure if hooking up with an SLP and shadowing/volunteering was good?
I'm not sure. I saw a rejection in the results today... but I'm not sure if they interpreted the waitlist letter as a rejection. I haven't seen anyone in the results come off of the USC wait list, though. Here's to hoping.
Yeah, this has been the most depressing experience I have ever been through. I feel like I have literally lost all direction and I feel so dejected. I'll likely stop posting on the forum because I feel so bad dragging everyone down from the euphoria of their well deserved acceptances.
Congrats again guys!!
I received a waitlist today from one of my top choices. Luckily, the letter said that they have given their first round admits until the end of the month to formally declare their intention to enroll. After that, second round acceptances will be made based off of the waitlist.
At least it won't be too long of a wait.
