Stats are only stats. You have so much to offer as a person and in terms of experience, and I'm sure all of the adcoms see that. Numbers only mean so much, it's the rest of the person that makes a difference.

Are you an infield or out of field applicant?

Exactly, which is why I ask! Some schools are sending handful of acceptances at a time, which is very confusing to me. UNC-CH called all of their admits, but dragged out the rejection process. So I'm just trying to figure out where we stand in the application process, so I'm not holding on to something that has been gone for a while (like I did with UNC-CH).

Since you're currently at UF, have any of your classmates who applied to USF heard back? There were a string of 5 acceptances yesterday, and I can't really tell if it was everyone or not.

Don't forget, USF does waves of acceptances. In their video, they said they do at least 3 rounds.

While that's true, I can't see that they would even waste their time notifying an applicant that they weren't serious about. Just a positive thought.

I just can't imagine why they would email you and ask about your pre req plans if they weren't planning on accepting you.

Darn. Maybe only current USF students who were accepted were notified today? Or only first round acceptances?

True. Four people have posted admits, and I'm beginning to think I would have heard already. Hard not to think it's anything but over.

I only see two. But, I have a feeling that since I am not one of them, I didn't make the cut.

I can't tell if they actually are because it's only one submission! But now I actually feel like throwing up.

Someone just posted an acceptance to USF...

It makes me freak out every time I see a school I applied for... and when it's someone just asking when we should hear I want to scream "search the results!!!!!". But I won't. For now.

I'm kind of annoyed that a lot of SLP posters are using the results search as a conversation thread. It makes it much harder to skim over.

I agree. Unless the adcom has to provide some sort of GPA cutoff (i.e., a 3.2 is required to apply), I don't think they only look at numbers.

I agree, but I was not afforded this courtesy yesterday when I just happened to stumble across my rejection. They still haven't informed me that it's there.

And it's always something good.
