I still haven't received an e-mail from UNC-CH letting me know that my decision is there I know it doesn't matter now, but it's kind of annoying, seeing as I paid an application fee and all.

I don't know about you, but my boyfriend's go-to phrase during this is "well, just wait and see!". It makes me want to pinch him, but I'm sure dealing with an emotionally unstable me hasn't been the best.

I love my boyfriend, but he SO doesn't understand how nerve wracking this process is.

If that's the case, I don't think you should feel too terribly. It was her oversight, and if she isn't upset, I wouldn't worry.

I just did a little research, and it looks like UVA, USF, and USC are all on spring break starting Monday. I guess it's safe to say it will be another ~2 weeks before hearing anything from those few.

i gave my recommenders handwritten thank you's, but that sounds like a very different situation. If you could think of something small, yet meaningful for her, I think that would be super nice. Especially since she sounds dedicated to helping you succeed.

Nope! FSU notifies on Monday at 5, and USC said sometie in mid-March. UVA and USF are still up in the air for me. I'm hoping for waitlists, if not acceptances. Hopefully everyone starts to notify soon.

Thanks I'm working on accepting that this isn't in my hands anymore. If I get in, great! If not, I know I'll be reapplying next season. This is my dream and what I'm passionate about. Hard times like these are supposed to make us better, not bitter.

At this point, I am terrified to hear back from the rest of my schools. I feel as though my most likely options have passed me by, and now I only have my reach schools left to hear from. I'm hoping it's true what they say... many people are rejected by their "safety" and accepted by a school they never thought they would be. Meh.

There's a lot to consider! Are you interested in CIs at all? Do you want to go into research after your education? If not, it's important to consider if coming out of school in a lot of debt it worth it for you. If you're also unsure if you can handle the 20 hours a week on top of school, that may also be a reason to consider declining. Weigh the positives and negatives! If you're more stressed/unhappy about the prospect of researching during school, I think you have your answer. Good luck.

I think we all understand how stressful this is. We are all under a lot of pressure, and this forum is a place to vent and let it all out. Please don't ever apologize for expressing yourself- if you don't during this process, you'll go kuckoo! Enjoy your break, you definitely deserve it. I will be thinking of you and hoping you get the good news you need.

Mine too. My school has a C, C+, B-, B, B+, A- and A+. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think that's kind of cool, actually. If you're getting a 99-100% in a class, I think you deserve that extra .33.

I have faith that you'll be getting some good news .
