I emailed a school and was just told that they're are still reviewing applications. The school sent short email.

Should I call Hunter and Brooklyn Colleges for a status? I do not want to be a pest. I have not heard anything from either school. Lehman sent an email stating application was incomplete when it was complete. It was forwarded to the SLP yesterday.

Thank you psyprof for your insight. I've been saying that for a while. I have even expressed that the GRE isn't a reflection of my capabilities to two graduate school deputies for schools I've sent my application.

I plan on doing the same. I saw that people received interview emails today. I hope this does not take me out of the running.

I received an email from Lehman stating my application is incomplete. I had confirmed a long time ago that that everything was received. I really do not understand. This is my second time applying to Lehman so why wouldn't they have everything?

Has anyone else not heard from CUNY's yet? I do not know if this is a good or bad sign.

They eliminated the writing portion for Lehman. Questions asked were name the 5 components of language and give 2 language disorders and 2 speech disorders?

Unfortunately, I got to the interview portion for Lehman for the Spring but was not selected for admission. I am praying for another shot.

That is exactly why I did not apply to Queens College.

I did all my prereqs at Lehman College. Yes, I am only applying to CUNYs. I can't afford a private university. I did my undergrad at Hofstra University and I already have a Masters from the College of New Rochelle. I have about 85K in loans I am paying off. I do not want any more debt.

I think with Brooklyn College they sort of go through the applications in bunches if that makes sense. They look at a bunch of applications and then interview those they see fit. They accept those they see are good candidates then move on to the next batch of applications.

I see that someone received an email for an interview for Hunter College as well as Lehman College. I have not heard anything yet. I am getting very worried!

Dream is to get into any CUNY School. Hope is to get into any CUNY School. Guess something tells me I am going to end up at Brooklyn College. I would be excited if I am accepted there!

I know a some people have heard back from Brooklyn College. I have not heard yet though...

I see on the results page a couple of people have heard back from Brooklyn College and received emails stating they have invited for interviews. So far, nothing yet on my end

Daisynic, I lived on campus. Since graduating back in 2003, they have built new dorms that I have heard are very nice. What is your SLP GPA? Did you have someone review your personal statement? You GRE scores are fine. I wish I had scores like yours LOL. New York schools are very competitive. I am sure you'll land somewhere this time around.

Daisyinc, is that your overall GPA or your SLP GPA? I went to Hofstra for undergrad. It is a beautiful campus, but not so great neighborhood. It is also very expensive.

Twinguy7, I had an interview and they did test me on things I learned in undergraduate courses. I think it really dependent on the school and how they construct interviews.

Mines was about 813 words. I think 2 pages is what is considered ok anything pass that is excessive.
