I did not use CSDCAS at all. SOP was well over 500 words. That CSCDAS seemed like more work. -

Marshmelos, some schools allow you to have some credits of prerequisites in progress when applying. For example two of my schools allow you to have 6 credits in process of being completing at time of applying. It really depends on the school. However, I would think it is best to complete all SLP courses. Good Luck!

I do not think that is correct. I live in NY and I am certain you need Masters. -

Are you sure about NY being one of the states that do not require Masters degree? -
I have applied to three CUNY schools, Brooklyn C, Hunter C, and Lehman C. I have heard excellent things about Lehman's program. I made it to the interview process, but did not make the cut for the Spring 2014 session. I am reapplying for the Fall 2014. Hunter College had issues in the past from what I have been told, but now they have new faculty and the program has made a complete 360. I went to the open house for Brooklyn College and was impressed by their program.

I'd say something like the woman who taught Helen Keller. I can't recall her name right now. -

It is not easy being an older student and having younger sharper minds around you. At times, I began to second guess myself. Congrats on the B+ in statistics! That class is a tough! I was very happy when I received a B! My mother is the same way. Although she is still working, she is so frightened by math, she gave up on going back to school. -

OMG 23 is still very young! Trying being 34, no kids, and just pretty much starting to get your ducks in a row! -

You guys are not alone. I am really stressed out because I am limited to certain schools because of money and employment. Sunshine, I also have my BA in Media Studies and Communication. I also have MS in Communication Studies. My GPA in my prereqs is only a 3.53 and my GRE scores are nothing to run home and talk about... However, I did get an interview in one of the schools to. Since I got to where I am reapplying. I know it was my interview for that blew it for me. I am working on sharpening those skills to hopefully have a different outcome if given a second shot. -
Miranlin, SLP is very specific Yes, you take some courses to fulfill the college's requirement of graduation such as sociology, psychology, and science. However, you do actually major in( let's say SLP) where you take many classes in that major. Many of those classes you take to fulfill the college requirements to graduate are needed to fulfill ASHA's requirements to become certified.

I have similar GRE scores (146V 145Q 4.0 AW) and I am applying to Hunter and Brooklyn College. I was told by the graduate deputy at Brooklyn College they will look at the whole package. I know schools in NYC are extremely competitive especially the CUNY ones. Is the GPA you posted your overall GPA or your GPA for your SLP courses?

All my applications are complete as well. The wait begins for me as well...Good Luck to you and all applicants!

I had one with a different school. I would say know the material you studied in your courses like the palm of your hand. -

I would not sweat it and make your best attempt to match up the course equivalents. It will be evident you took the courses you needed to apply.

How can you say my advice is not SLP specific? I am in the SLP forum...am I not? Therefore, it is safe to assume that I am referring to SLP graduate school! I never said I was not a helpful gesture, maybe just not what the OP was looking for... -

I wish I knew that it would be so tough to get into a graduate program. If I knew, I would not have been so hard on myself when I was rejected for this Spring semester!
