I have no idea. I just asked and told them my interview date. I haven't heard anything yet so who knows.

Dartmouth MCB will be emailing people again tomorrow... Tomorrow will either be wonderful or horrible.

Got into UConn! No word on funding or when I could visit, just an acceptance on the website. I have options! Woo.

So someone posted an acceptance to UConn for "structural bio, biochem, and biophysics" saying they got in post interview. I googled the program since I didn't know it existed and apparently the biochemistry program is part of this, all under a MCB umbrella. But the grad coordinator told me there wasn't an interview process? Uh. Confusion. Haha. Any insight would be helpful!

Got the official numbers from Penn State: at least 25,400 per year, 80% of health insurance, and I got a fellowship for an extra 5,000 my first year. Also, they'll give me an extra 2,000 if I commit by March 21st. Apparently this is more common than I thought.

I woke up from my valentines day snow day nap to get ready for dinner and found my acceptance email!

When my advisor said "strong" she basically talked about how I was one of the best students she's ever interacted with. (No idea if this is actually true...) But strong is very good!

Got an offer from Penn State! They decided not to phone interview me.

My boyfriend is waiting. He says they typically don't announce until the first couple weeks of March because they have to wait for financial aid results. EDIT: He's waiting for MESc.

Got all excited, got a phone call from a NH number... Just the hotel I stayed at. Now I can't get my heart rate back down.

Did you explain your situation? Maybe if you said if you got an interview you'd be a pretty much guaranteed acceptance? That may work in your favor.

My email I sent them was veiled in hostility as well haha. "I understand that the two interview dates have passed for PiBS. I was wondering if my application was still being considered or if an interview is required for admission. Thank you." She didn't mention most of my questions

"Application is still under review. Please keep in mind this is a competitive program and we received a high volume of applications. If you have concerns, you may email the director. As he will inform you, your application is under review." What. Thanks BU PiBS! So helpful! ...not Anyone have any idea what this actually means?

Emailed BU again. Part of me wants to just withdraw my application and be done with it. I'll let you know what they say.
