    I was accepted to the doctoral program in Systematic and Philosophical Theology at the GTU. I know that my primary concern is also with funding. From what I've heard from current students, the best funding package is not comparable to "standard" expectations you would have from other graduate schools. For example, the best funding package would only provide a living stipend for 2 years and that's it.

    I can access the site, but nothing is updated, just the general type of "We received your application" message. Looking at the survey results from past years, people heard around this time in their respective application years.

    Received my rejection email from Vanderbilt today! I have two acceptances already, so I'm not taking it as hard as I thought I would.

    I heard that one of my colleagues was accepted to UCSB. Although I don't know of any other information for the rest of applicants.

    Looks like some people got acceptances from Vanderbilt. Congrats! I didn't get called for interview for Vandy if that means I'm out of the running I wish they would just send rejections out alreayd.

    UCR is my alma mater and I will say that they have quite the impressive English department. My department was Religious Studies, but every time discussions of critical theory and cutting edge work in literary studies came up, UCR's English department somehow ended up being an important voice in the conversation. What are your research areas?

    I know that Harvard has not officially announced anything yet. All official notifications (admits and rejects) are announced at the same time.

    I applied to Theological Studies at Vanderbilt. I'm wondering if I should just cross them off my list now if they already did their interviews.

    UC Riverside offers a MA and PhD in Religious Studies. That's where I went to undergrad. It's a small, but pretty awesome department with some great faculty. Also check out UCSB and Claremont.

    I have been wondering the same thing about host housing during the Open House visit. It save us a lot of money to not have to get a hotel in the area. Any ideas anyone?

    You know, I've always been intimated by Craigslist when it comes to apartment hunting in metropolitan areas. Any tips on doing effective searches?

    I am definitely leaning towards accepting their offer. As for housing, I have been looking at the Harvard-owned properties and will likely try to grab one of those if/when I accept my admissions offer.

    A very good tip. It is a tip I picked up in undegrad as well. Networking helps, but there are definitely different ways of doing it.

    I think it would be really awesome if we can work out a time to all meet one another. We've all been here to help one another throughout this whole process; whether that be with advice, hearing each other's vents, or even just encouraging one another. And if more than one of us choose to attend, then it will be great knowing that you already have a new friend in your incoming class. What do you all think?
