It is only advanced standing being notified right now. 2 year program comes about a month after the 1 year.

Here is info on GPA for UofT: http://www.artsci.utoronto.ca/newstudents/transition/academic/grading Here is a chart you can use for any university and it tells you how to convert GPA: http://studentsuccess.mcmaster.ca/students/tools/gpa-conversion-chart.html As to how many spots - the 2 year program accepts 140 students (1 yr accepts 90). And the rejections and waitlists come in a small white envelope. Acceptances come in a large brown envelope. Hope this helps!

This question may not even be relevant as I don't know for sure I will get an offer from Laurier but I currently am accepted to University of Toronto for my MSW. The program at UofT is amazing, exactly what I am looking for. But it is an almost 2 hour commute and I can't relocate because I have children who are already settled in school and a partner with a good job. Laurier, I don't really love the program, but it is in my city. I am debating whether to stay on the waiting list for Laurier for location reasons or whether I should just commit to UofT and deal with the commute for the 10 month long program. Thoughts?

Glad to hear you finally got it! One of my friends who lives in Whitby still has not received her package. Her status on ROSI says Invite. Hopefully she will get hers tomorrow, if not I told her to email Angela. Everyone else I know has received word either way.

I went to the application page and found the student id # they had given me, then I went to ROSI and put in the student # and the temporary password which is your birthday (year/month/day - 2 digits each - so mine was 81/06/08) and then it asked me to change to my permanent password, which I did, and then the first page that popped up had the info saying the program, start date, and that my status was Invited. It may have been available only because the decision had already been made (I had been informed the letters were sent out March 3 and I checked March 4, although I didn't get the letter until March 6).

I got an acceptance package from UofT (for my MSW) and I didn't receive any email. I did however log on to ROSI with the student number they gave me when I applied 3 days before I received the acceptance package and it said Invite so I already knew I was in. Try logging into ROSI, you never know.

Congrats! Myself and some others that are currently at my BSW program will be there on April 7. One of my friends is also in the Gerontology specialization with you (I am in Social Justice and Diversity)

Just wanted to say that I am accepted and mine STILL hasn't changed to decision made. So I wouldn't worry too much about that. I would think the 2 year acceptances might come a bit early because the advanced standing said mid-March and decisions were mailed out on March 3.

I just got my acceptance packet from UofT today and it came in a big brown envelope. I was very excited because I knew what that meant!

It's interesting to see what different programs are looking for. You got into Laurier and were waitlisted to UofT and I got into UofT and was waitlisted to Laurier. It just goes to show everyone that it is really just about who is the best fit for the program. Congrats to everyone who is hearing good news, and to those who aren't don't give up, just keep on trying!

Also, just wanted to remind everyone to put your stats on the results page. It is really helpful for people waiting to see when and how everyone got notified and whether they were accepted, rejected or waitlisted!

I heard back from Angela and it is official, I am definitely accepted! I am at work right now but I am hoping the package will be there when I get home. I am so excited!

Don't give up hope! I know that last year people did get off the waitlist. Have you heard from Ryerson yet?

Yes as soon as I logged into the student center it said that I was invited to the MSW for Fall 2014. I didn't have to click on anything.

I just emailed Angela because I am too impatient to wait lol. Hopefully she responds!

Wow, that is really weird! Yes, if they sent it out Monday there is no way you shouldn't have gotten it by now. I really hope it is not some cruel joke and that it doesnt' just say that to everyone who applied. Kind of freaking out now because I've already told a few people.

Is anyone else who has "Status: Invited" worried that it isn't actually true? I woke up this morning and thought "maybe everyone's who applied says that???" But I do know out of the 6 people from my program I talked to last night who checked 4 of ours says Status: Invited and 2 don't say anything. I really hope the letter comes today!

There is still a piece of me that doesn't believe it, like maybe it is an error or something! But it seems pretty darn straight forward! Status: Invited. I can't wait to get the official letter!

My friend was trying just now and said the system wasn't working. It might be a system error, I would keep trying

Here is the info I just shared with all my BSW facebook friends: so go to the UofT website and go to this page - https://apply.sgs.utoronto.ca/ - and sign in with the application number given to you when you applied. Once you get in there at the top of the page will be a tab labelled - profile update. Go in there and there will be a student number listed. Copy the student number and then go to this website - http://www.rosi.utoronto.ca - and log in. Mine says I am invited to the MSW program for Fall 2014!!!

OMG OMG OMG!! I just figured out how to sign in to UofT's website bc I found the student # section and this is what it says: Registration - Fall 2014 - SW MSW 1 Degree Master of Social Work (1yr) (SW MSW 1) Status Invited Full-time or Part-time Full Time Session in which you entered program Fall 2014 Year of Study 1 I am freaking out!!!!!!! I got in!!!!! OMG!!!!
