@poppy_msw you are correct! It would take approx. two years to complete a BSW at York University.
York University offers 3 credit courses and 6 credit courses. 3 credit courses are half year courses, while 6 credits are an entire year! There is no way to complete 54 credits in one year at York University. York's system is a little different!
I checked Myfile as well, and I've also been rejected from York's MSW 2 year program. I feel content about it since I will be accepting my offer for UofT! I did my undergrad at York anyways...I need a change!
My friend and I were both 'invited' to UofT's 2 year MSW program! She received her acceptance letter yesterday, I am still waiting on mine! Letters were sent out on Wednesday
Hey everyone! Have acceptances for the Counselling MEd program at U of T been sent out yet? I also applied to the Counselling MEd program and have heard nothing regarding my status. At this point, it's safe to assume I've been rejected.
I've been following this thread for awhile now! I also applied for the 2-year MSW program, and reading about the number of volunteer hours required is concerning! However, if I combine both my work and volunteer hours it comes close to 3,000 hours worth of experience. I am sure they consider both work and volunteer, as well as your letter of intent and references! So lets not try to worry too much
Fingers crossed guys, and good luck to you all!
Congratulations to all of you who got in!!!
I was wondering if anyone knows when we will be notified about the 2-year MSW program at U of T? I've been following this thread and noticed that letters have been sent to those who applied to the advanced standing program. Any word on the 2 year program?
