Im hoping so too. It sounds odd, but i'd at least like my page to change and an interview if I'm going to be rejected. It would make me feel like they didn't just pocket my $100 and toss my application.

Who is going to claim the Stanford admit? Via webpage? Mine didn't update, nor have I heard from any POI. Looking like a rejection. Anyone know if Chicago, Stanford, NYU, and Cornell are done?

I got accepted to University of Washington's MA for comparative religions. First acceptance of the season. I know it's not anthro, but I figured I'd post anyways. Waiting on funding information, they had a few TA positions available.

Colorless, I agree with what everyone is telling you, and that is to calm down and don't let the rejection reflect negatively on you as a person in anyway, We have seen how the process goes now, and from this we can tell that acceptance is dependent on a great variety of factors, many of which you can't control. I don't know what your current situation is, but this is not the end of the world. There are also plenty of MA programs still taking applications. Theses programs may not be funded, but they could allow you to gain valuable experience and increase your network. The last thing you should do is jump from a window, though I'm sure, it's hyperbole (I hope). Just don't give up hope yet! If you do get swept this season, stay in contact with any POI that has been helpful and showed interest. Develop your relationship with them if possible. Not getting in can be turned positive allowing it be used as an extra year of preparation, a chance to get better funding next year, and possibly some work related experience.

I am absolutely going nuts today. I just want a rejection at least. Why can't they pick the people they want, make a wait-list, then reject everyone else. Why do I have to find out in March that I got rejected? Im having a really awful day and not knowing anything is destroying me. I'm being very undude.

It seems like Stanford is running late this season. I saw two interview posts on the results search last week, and then silence. I wonder what gives? -Also, my applyweb never changed to reflect official transcripts received. Whats the deal with this?

I'm not feeling very positive today. What's the deal with Columbia? their application was due by December 3 I think and I haven't heard a peep from them. It's like I basically made a $105 dollar donation to GSAS. For several of these programs I feel this same way. Stanford too. The application was due quite a while ago, and I got zero response from any faculty who I contacted. I'm not even sure why I went along with the application. I'm just worried I suppose that I would have heard something from at least one school by now.

Ouch! Yeah I don't think I could email my POI's about this.

I got cards for all, and a space pen for my adviser from field school. He did tell me "Thank you, but this is part of our job." That being said, I think it's a great idea.

Im not sure about what I'm saying, I'm just going off of what I've heard. My POI at Chicago told me that if they made me an offer they would definitely fly me out to meet and greet. Just offering up what they said, so I can't speak for all schools. I wouldn't take what I say as scripture by any means.

Im on quarters at UCLA and we're in class. From what i've heard, if you're accepted they will fly you out.

Ah ok, I didn't recall. I'm from Northern California, Davis is really nice. I've never been to U of T, but Iv'e heard it's very nice too. Congrats on your acceptances and good luck with the rest!

fishjg - Didn't you get an interview with Chicago? How'd it go?
