Many of us may not have the privilege to partake in protest, but I've found that has helped me cope with anxieties I feel around the Trump administration. Also a good way to pass the time, meet some people, and wait for decisions.

I keep telling myself it's just good research! It's just good research! Not nerdy at all. 

ha! i've been doing a lot of this as well. not just what dates they typically notify, but what days of the week, how many weeks into the semester, how long after MLK holiday, etc. 

I cannot believe I overlooked your acceptance to OSU!! Congratulations! I, too, ran out of upvotes! I'm so very happy for you all!

Just popping in my head to congratulate @Wyatt's Terps on his acceptance! This is so well deserved. You've been such a constant compassionate and intelligent presence on these forums.

Congrats folks! Hurrah for good news all around:) And fingers crossed for all the schools we've yet to hear from. 
I just found out I'm in at OSU too! And University of Louisville:) Does anyone know what the funding opportunities are at Ohio State? The one sentence on the app window was pretty brief. 

Congratulations, @Wyatt's Terps! Well deserved. You've been a supportive presence here and have helped many people -- including myself -- get through the emotional and logistical hurtles involved in the application process. I'm positive that more acceptances will continue to roll in for you during the next few weeks!

Personally, every time I think I'm a sure bet to get accepted, I begin a sequence of self-flagellation and bathing in vinegar while reading Heidegger. Works like a charm.

I completely agree. @Wyatt's Terps and I were discussing this last week. There is such a wonderful group here, and I'm very thankful to turn to you all. In my master's program, they're all saying, "I'll be surprised if you don't get into all of the schools you applied to." It's like they almost forgot how stressful and anxiety-inducing this process is. So I am very thankful for the group we have here.
