How do you deal with "I should have applied there"? I am more than happy with the program I decided to attend, but also can't stop thinking of couple programs I ended up not applying.

Skyped with the prof who recruited me to apply for now at confrence (where I would be fully funded at an R1) which went well! Then rejected from the one school I offically interviewed at... You win some lose some...!

I have an interview April 7th. Part of me hopes it will only act to strengthen my conviction in the offer I already accepted.

2 reasons. I was rejected at this school when I received my only acceptance, thus, I signed my life away. Weeks pass and school #1 apologizes and un-rejects me. I agreed to the interview because if admitted, I could live at home with my husband during grad school, vs living 9 hours away from him (school I already accepted) for the next 5 or 6 years.

Why is everyone in grad school either married or in relationships? Why do I have the displeasure of having to constantly meet them? Where are the fun people?!

I just heard my last decision - a denial to a MA program. No matter what or how they happen, or who they are from, those denials always hurt. I finally had to email the graduate adviser to find out. And it was a denial from a fairly low ranked big state school. The difference between schools and departments is palpable. I got a PhD acceptance from a well ranked school including TAship. If all you get are denials, I feel for you, that would feel horrible. Juuust keep going!

Midterms next week. Son getting married in 7 days. Presentation due April 7th (haven't had a chance to start on it). Weekly papers. Oh yeah... and drowning in thesis suggestions (even though I have 2 years left as a part-timer). I am getting a little stressed out here.
