  1. I was wondering if any of you guys would be willing to give me some advice. I was never expecting to get into grad school let alone 2 different schools. I accepted to minot state and it looks amazing in the sense that it's small which I like and it's extremely cheap. However, housing is outrageous. The faculty that I have spoke to are super awesome and it's been really quick and easy to enroll in all my classes. Well, now I just got accepted off the waitlist at idaho state and I am so confused. I would love to be in idaho as it is wayyy closer to my home in washington. However idaho state seems like there will be a lot more hoops for me to jump through. I have to take three different classes as pre reqs where I wouldn't have to do that at minot. I won't know classes or even my ID number at idaho until later in June. I'm just really torn. I would much rather move to idaho than all the way to North Dakota. But minot is only 5 semesters compared to 6 at idaho and I have to take more classes at idaho. Any advice would be really helpful!
  2. I did not know that. Now I am torn between this and minot state. I like that minot is only 5 semesters and I wouldn't have to take any pre reqs where I would have to at idaho and they are 6 semesters. However idaho is a lot closer to me. Ahh I don't know what to do!!
  3. I was just offered a spot off the waitlist but will be declining because it is just too expensive to attend. Hope this helps someone else!!
  4. For experience I would reccomend becoming an instructional assistant/para educator in a school. I ended up being a one-on-one instructional assistant to a kindergartener with autism. This was my only experience I had and it does relate to the field even if it isn't clinical experience. I think this helped me get accepted! Good luck to you
  5. Thank you for your reply! I do love how cheap the tuition is and it does seem like a great school to go to. Just a little nervous about making a big move all on my own and not knowing much about the area. Thanks again and I hope you get off the waitlist
  6. Hello! I was wondering if anyone was thinking about attending Minot State or knows much about the area. It looks like this will most likely be where I end up and will have to move from Washington to North Dakota. I just don't know much about the area.
  7. I didn't apply to eastern. Wish I would have. Holly, did you ever call WSU and find out if they can tell us anything about the wait list?
  8. I wonder if we can call and see where we are on the wait list?
  9. I just got an email. I have been wait listed at WSU. I'm really hoping this will turn into an acceptance. Fingers crossed!
  10. I will die if I don't hear back from WSU tomorrow:(
  11. Well, the slp I work with went to WWU for her undergrad and got into western for graduate school as well. She chose not to go to western for her graduate studies because she said that western does not focus as much on clinicals. For me, that's a huge deal breaker. It's just something to think about. She told me if I had the choice between western and say WSU, to definitely chose WSU. Either way I think Western is a great school and I didn't even go there. I just don't know much about the program besides what she told me.
  12. I'm excited to be accepted but North Dakota is so far away. Plus, in minot apartments are over 1000 dollars a month. It's so crazy and I can't afford that. I really don't want to live on campus
  13. I still haven't heard from WWU so I'm guessing it's a rejection. I'm more anxious to hear back from WSU as that would be my top choice. As of right now, it looks like I'll be moving to North Dakota
  14. It's so hard to say how much gre scores weigh in on acceptances. I have horrible, horrible gre scores but a pretty good GPA and some good experience. I'm pretty thankful that I've been accepted with lower gre scores because I just couldn't ever take that awful test again.
  15. I'm hoping we hear from Wsu sooner than later this week! Good luck to all
