  1. I believe so! One credit is $298 ( I don't believe this includes some fees). The program is 55 credits. If you do the full time program it's 9 credits in the fall and spring and 7-9 in summer. You can check out this link! $14k is a rough estimate, I think it might actually be a little less now that I'm doing the math. https://www.worcester.edu/Graduate-Costs/
  2. You're not making it up! It's so cost-friendly! One year full time is roughly $14k. So the entire program is just under 30k! It's unbelievable. I am out of state as well. Honestly, the cost is the primary reason I chose WSU.
  3. I'm also a newlywed and am in the same boat as you! I'm dreading leaving my wife all day and basically only seeing her at night. I think we will set up a weekly date night, even if it's just sitting down together for a meal at home. I know that my wife is super proud of me and wants to see me succeed. So even though she'll miss me, and I'll miss her, we know that this is going to better our future.
  4. Wow, thank you! My program does offer a part time track! Even if I start full time, I can drop to part time whenever I need to.
  5. Thank you everyone for your insight! I really appreciate it! I would be the one pregnant and a few of you have brought up some things I hadn't thought about, like morning sickness, doctors appointments, etc. This was a strange question and I really can't thank you guys enough for weighing in! Gives me a lot to think about
  6. So, kind of a weird question that most people probably don't have any experience with, but I want some opinions! I'm thinking I'm totally nuts to start a family while in grad school but my wife thinks we can do it. I haven't started my program yet so I am completely unaware of how intense it will be. Any insight from current graduate students about being able to balance school and family would be appreciated!
  7. Not that I know of! I talked to a graduate assistant and she said most classes make on after their program of study meeting in May!
  8. I just sent in my deposit to Worcester State University! I primarily chose this program because of the cost. It is so affordable! I just recently went to the accepted students open house and I was very impressed with the faculty and the clinic. It's a small program, and it seems like everyone is very close! I think I will be very happy there
  9. I'll be attending Worcester State this summer! I chose this program primarily for the price. I recently attended the admitted students open house and I was very impressed with the clinic and all of the faculty members I met! The GA's who were there also seemed to be very happy with the program which gives me hope! I'm very excited to start at Worcester State!
  10. Anyone make their decision on Worcester State? I'm sending in my deposit this week! Would love to start to connect with anyone before the Admitted Students day on April 6!
  11. Anyone start one for Worcester State?
  12. When did you hear from URI? That is the only program I am waiting to hear from. It doesn't really matter because I am 99.9% sure I will be accepting the offer at Worcester State, but it would be nice to have all of my options available before I commit to Worcester!
  13. Thank you again everyone! I've decided to drop the cash and go with a MacBook Air!
  14. I'll be commuting about 45min-1hour! I think it's doable! It was this or Speech@NYU and I chose the commute because the price difference between the two programs was insane! I'd rather commute everyday then have 90k in loans to pay back.
