  1. I still haven't heard from USF. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. I am also waiting on FSU and Jacksonville University
  2. Thank you your response! I am working on going over some mock interview questions I found online, so I am hoping that will be helpful! I consider myself very personable, so I am hoping I will do a good job presenting myself that way. I hope you had a wonderful grad school experience! Did you happen to have a writing sample before you interviewed? I need to arrive about 30 minutes early to do the writing sample, then I will have my interview. I'm not sure what to expect for that! On a side note, I have seen you post in the thread for "less competitive grad schools" and am very impressed with your journey to getting into grad school, and advice you have shared with everyone! I didn't have the best GRE scores (this is my second year applying) and didn't have a ton of work experience, so I was feeling pretty lost last year. I'm hoping this year will turn out better! An interview is a step in the right direction . Thanks again for your help!
  3. Thank you for your advice! I have found some mock interview questions online, and have been going over them. I just bought some nice pants, blouse and jacket from The Limited. I think I will be looking professional enough . I am just trying to calm my nerves. Once I get antsy and nervous, I tend to be all over the place with my responses. I'm hoping to go in prepared, so I won't be as nervous! I just wish I knew what type of questions they were asking! Again, Thanks for the advice!!
  4. Hi everyone! I received an email from University of West Georgia yesterday that I was selected to interview with them. This will be my first time having an interview with a grad school, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or some advice they can share with me? Last year when I applied to schools, I didn't get in anywhere. I'm hoping this interview will go well! I'm not sure what to expect! I know I will have a writing sample before my interview, then my interview will be about 20 minutes long. It is a little less than two weeks away! I appreciate any help!
  5. There is a good chance they will!
  6. I could be wrong, but they may be sending out a few more acceptances first? Who knows :/
  7. Mine still says "no decision" too :/. Not sure if they are sending out acceptances first, then rejections
  8. My portal says the same thing:/. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. I don't know of anyone who has been accepted yet.
  9. Oh, I didn't even think about that! You're probably right. I just don't know why some people are finding out if they were accepted or rejected already. Good luck to you! I am a FL resident too!
  10. Still waiting to hear back from UCF too! I'm definitely nervous. So many people apply to UCF :/
  11. I am going to do the same! I feel like they were unorganized. Do you guys have a list of Spring programs you are going to apply to? I'm trying to research that now. And me too. We will all get in! I'm going to retake my GRE and try to get more work experience in to bolster my resume.
  12. I feel like they have had their decision made for a few weeks. I am kind of mad they waited until the last day to let us all know we were rejected. I have been trying to plan out my future, but couldn't make any plans because I was waiting for a decision from Jacksonville. Are you all going to try and apply for Spring admission?
  13. Me too! I only applied in-state this year, so I may start looking for spring programs out-of-state. It's a total bummer, but I have faith we will all get into a program next year:)
  14. Just randomly checked my portal, and saw I didn't get in. Looks like I will be applying to schools all over again next year! :/
  15. I know!! I haven't received an email yet:/
  16. Nope! I haven't heard anything-which makes me nervous:/. I had a 3.6 gpa in undergrad, 4.0 post-bac/prerequisites, not great gre scores ( both scores are in the 140s), and I have about 100 hours of shadowing/observation hours. I was also in many clubs in college. It makes me nervous that my undergrad degree wasn't in speech. But I have completed the prerequisites to be eligible for grad schools. How about you? Also, there is a facebook page for those who have been accepted to Jacksonville. I've seen a few people be added to the group since late May:/
  17. I am super nervous! I applied in early March, and have been waiting since then!
  18. I am so nervous! I have no idea what my chances are of getting in. I applied around March 9th, and haven't heard back yet! Good luck to everyone.
