I mean, mine was like that, and I got in! It sounds like everyone who had that happen, got in!

Based on this, it sounds to me that they haven't released loan awards yet. I don't know if this means that grants/scholarships are already finalized though... as mine is there and I got an email saying that my financial aid award was now available. I'll be turning it down though, so I don't know if they reallocate funds...

I just looked at that page as well. Mine *also* has no loans, but it does have "grants and scholarships from your school" as $9,072 yearly award, and the rest is empty, including loans. I also am unsure if this means they are not even offering federal loans. I can't imagine that to be the case, but... Either way, the program costs $82K (including cost of living) for the first year, and an additional $37K the second, making it by far the most expensive option of all the schools I applied to. Even if I get the $33K FLAS I applied for, it hardly makes a dent!

Just got my financial aid award. $9K scholarship. Nail in the coffin, pretty much.

I think by the end of the month. Probably the last week in March (just based on previous years). The bigger scholarships (Urban Scholars etc) probably go out sooner, or maybe have already been awarded.

Just got a phone call from a student in my program! She talked to me for 25 minutes and was SUPER helpful and informative, gave me great advice about how she chose between Stanford, Penn, and HGSE, and really did a great sell of Harvard! She talked about networking, jobs, classes, the works! It was great.

I think you have a very good shot at acceptance! Your GRE scores are awesome. I'm convinced at least half the reason I just got accepted was because I had a 5.5 AWA as well, and you have that verbal score to boot! (I had 155 Q too). So you've got the grades and numbers, and your work experience seems super relevant. As long as you spend a lot of time communicating clearly your aspirations and goals, and acquiring strong recs, I think you have an EXCELLENT shot!

Just got my acceptance!!! No real info but yay!

International Education Development/Policy Applicants 2016

I agree with this. I was very unsure I would get into HGSE without having any work experience related to international policy, or significant time living in another country (I studied abroad in Spain for a semester, but this hardly counts and I didn't even write about it). I did however talk about my undergraduate thesis research, in which I traveled to international archives to find important documents related to the Palestinian refugee situation. I also had experience presenting at a national conference for a Ford Foundation project on multicultural education. All of this was based in the US, but had a decidedly international flavor to it, so I think this (and my high GRE writing score) tipped the scale in my favor. -
Still haven't heard back... I know in the past they've always notified by March 11 or 12, so I'm expecting by Friday.... my application is clearly being tinkered with because it now says "Transcripts missing", but no news!

International Education Development/Policy Applicants 2016

I have 3 years of work experience between undergrad and now, but it's in teaching in NYC, not related to IEP per se. Most of my IEP experience (and the main focus of my SOP) came from undergraduate research jobs I had. -

Oh yes, I didn't mean straight away to get these jobs, I just meant in general. Do you know what other types of smaller organizations graduates typically go towards immediately after? -
Congrats and so glad you finally heard back!! Penn is certainly the priciest... I'm hoping to get the FLAS which would cut another $33K off tuition...

What about US based opportunities in organizations like UNESCO/Save the Children? Do such less-quant focused jobs exist domestically? I'm so new to this field! -
Same! I also hate my job right now, and my current masters program is pissing me off with busy work and unclear prompts for the busy work *sigh*. Can July just get here? (That's when I'm moving to wherever.)
-
It's possible they send that to all prospective students (kind of like how you have to fill out financial aid before getting in) I'm still waiting too, but didn't get that email.
-
They sent me an email "Save the date!" a few weeks ago and just got the invitation to RSVP yesterday. It sort of does overlap with HGSE... but I'm making it work. Penn's Day is Saturday, and HGSE has program-specific events on either Friday or Monday (I think Monday for Ed Policy). So I'm going to HGSE on Friday and Penn on Saturday. Unfortunately that means I have to miss HGSE's IEP Conference and other events going on that Sunday.

Yeah! And my whole decision to apply at all started with TC... so it'll be nice to come full circle on it! In fact, for about 6 months, TC was the only school I was going to apply to! Crazy how things change.
-
I think we will definitely hear by Friday! I've basically eliminated TC at this point, unless I get some crazy scholarship. But still.. I want to get in
-
It's like they're prepping our pages for acceptance
-
They updated the pre-matriculation site with more detailed agendas about the open houses! Seems like half are on Monday April 4th and half are on Friday April 1. I'll be there on Friday! Anyone else?
-
Who here is attending the admitted students day on April 2? I am!
-
Sounds possible! That was actually my first thought when I saw that.... who knows....
-
It's 10am - 7pm on Saturday April 2. Only TEP and HE seem to have individual events, but there are breakout sessions in the agenda for each program on the general day. You should get an email to RSVP to it.

Mine just did the same thing about an hour ago! (The transcripts went from a green check to a red x) Thank god for this site or I'd be panicking! Hopefully we'll hear back very soon, then!
