  1. @Keren Adiru What I meant to ask was did you submit the LoA for your first preference with the initial application?
  2. Hey @Keren Adiru Thank you. Your comment was very helpful. Was the unconditional letter for your first preference? Congratulations to the finalists!
  3. @HazyN Congratulations on receiving the finalist email. I hope you get the scholarship I wanted to know if you had submitted your acceptance letter with the initial application.
  4. Hello, Have any of you received the finalist email? Do you think we are still in the race if we have not received the email which was sent out to other finalists in May?
  5. The Applicant Guidelines Document clearly mentions that all the finalists will be contacted by 3rd May. This is irrespective of the fact that you have submitted your LoA.
  6. Hey, Has anyone heard back from WBJJ?
  7. I think finalists must have been informed by now. And the chances of receiving the scholarship without receiving the finalist email is very low. They should have informed by now. I dont think there's any chance now. This is what the guidelines say i. For master’s programs that provide a letter of acceptance before May 3, 2017: The JJ/WBGSP Secretariat will contact via email each finalist on or before May 1, 2017, and ask he/she to deliver via email by May 3, 2017, a scanned copy of the official letter of acceptance into a preferred master’s program that you have noted on your Application Form, with the letter either: unconditional or conditional only upon securing funding. ii. For the very few master’s programs that start providing letters of acceptance on or after May 3, 2017: The JJ/WBGSP Secretariat will contact via email each finalist on or before May 1, 2017, and ask he/she to deliver to the JJ/WBGSP Secretariat, via email within one week of the date of the letter of acceptance to a preferred master’s program that was noted on his/her Application Form, a scanned copy of that letter of acceptance. The letter of acceptance must be either unconditional or conditional only upon securing funding.
  8. @Baturay I hope so. But my friend submitted her acceptance letter with her application last year and received the shortlist email in May 1st week
  9. @rrahman1210 I submitted the letter with my app. Haven't received any email from WBJJ
  10. @Baturay I think they will still notify you. Even I got the unconditional letter from my top choice. I also attached the acceptance letter with my WBJJ app. But they still need to send the notification. Let's hope for the best
  11. @Baturay The guy was notified on Friday. Looking at last year's WBJJ Gradcafe group, I gathered that the notifications were sent on 6th May to all the people. That's why I asked. Do you know of other people who have applied and have received the email?
  12. Hi, Has anyone heard back from WBJJ? I got to know about someone who did.
  13. Has the Bohnett Fellowship ever been awarded to people who are not from the US?
  14. Thanks, I checked. Got accepted. No funding again.
  15. I haven't received a rejection email. Is that odd? Should I call them up?
  16. I got through too. I am thrilled but extremely worried about the funding decision. TBH I did not think I will make it so I did not go the extra mile for the funding applications.

  18. @arbitist Hey, I guess the discussion is already over, I just wanted to know if it is too late to apply to Cornell MPA??
  19. @economixed_policy @nilesguo Hey. So which school did you guys finally decided to attend? And why?
  20. @chocolatecheesecake Hey, thank you for the prompt and encouraging response. If it isn't too much to ask, would you be willing to read my SOP that I sent to Duke?
  21. @chocolatecheesecake Hey !! I think I have joined the conversation a bit late. I had a question for you, I haven't submitted my video essay (don't ask me why). I know it was a bit stupid of me but I did not want to screw it up. I read your post where you have mentioned that it is an important component of the application. So am I in trouble?
  22. Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to apply to both MPA and MPA-DP? Thanks
  23. Hi, By mistake I submitted a draft version of my policy memo. I sent them the final version exactly 24 hours after that. I also wrote a mail telling them why exactly this happened. I had typhoid and could barely sit straight. Do you think they will replace it?
  24. Thank you for your suggestions. It helped. @marco_p and @mpp2016 If it isn't too much to ask, can I share my essay with you guys? Have a look and tell me if I should add/subtract anything? It'll really help.
  25. Hi, I have two topics in my mind. One relates to the current work I am doing and the entire story line, but this one is multidimensional and will need more than 200 words if I have to do justice to it. The other one is not directly related to my SOP, it is also extremely out of the box but I think it's quite narrow and simple and can be achieved with minimum effort. What do you suggest? Which one should I write about? Also, could you please share your GRE scores with me? Not sure if my scores are competitive. Thanks
