  1. I've only received interview invites from Brown and Georgia State. No word for me on status for brown post interview yet unfortunately. still waiting to hear from VCU and UF. oh rejection from USF but def didn't like the program based on my phone interview so that was a blessing.
  2. Has anyone heard/have any idea the process for LSU in terms of making offers/waitlist/rejections post interview? I know I'm being antsy but just trying to get a sense of when we may hear.
  3. School Name: University of Southern MississippiDate Interview Invite Received: 1/20Degree: PhDType: Clinical PsychologyNotified via: callFrom: POIInterview Date: 2/11 or 2/12
  4. It sounds like you have all the reason not to go in person. I think if you just explained the car situation and that you are traveling a lot this month (don't have to mention for interviews, I'm sure they can put 2 and 2 together) but you can't go into debt before you even start school haha. If they are open to skype/phone interviews just do that! I had to decline an in person interview for my top choice school which killed me but I had already committed to another interview and wasn't given much warning. It happens but thank goodness for technology!
  5. I just received mine this afternoon! Looks like they're starting to roll them out Unfortunately I can't make it to recruitment day so will have to just do skype interviews. Hope this won't hurt my chances but there isn't much I can do at this point with just 2 weeks notice.
  6. I saw someone posted about receiving an invite from Brown University recently. Has anyone heard from their Behavioral and Social Science PhD program?? Or, anyone else even apply to that phd program?
  7. each professor usually just takes 1 student so just divide 1 by however many people are interviewing. The odds seem like they'd be in your favor but remember that these people who get interviews are super qualified also and you don't know what kind of relationship they have with the faculty member already. For instance, could already be working in their lab, currently work with one of that faculty members old students, just a lot of factors can come into play which make it still so competitive. Don't even think about your odds just do the best you can and you can't be upset with yourself
  8. I would suck it up and travel overnight if you have to. People dream of getting one interview to Clinical programs let alone 2. I know it's not ideal and it is exhausting but you want to make sure you don't lose out on any opportunities. I wouldn't want to travel overnight or literally back to back either but it's only one weekend and then Sunday/Monday you can crash and sleep the days away
