  1. How did/is everyone find the Ryerson interview day today? Did anyone else interview with T.O?
  2. My U of S rejection letter was just rescinded by my POI! Wooooo!
  3. I think that it's just a generic email, because I got the same thing with the "your application wasn't competitive enough" stuff. Don't let it get you down- there are for sure some changes you'll be able to make to make your application better, and your chances of getting in are different every year just based on professor availability, who else is applying, etc. Don't give up!
  4. Haha, yeah I think Joni is on vacation so I managed to luck out by getting the automatic reply. I haven't heard from any of my POIs either, except from Jodren Cummings saying that she's not taking a student this year. But no, that's fair. I haven't heard a thing though, and it kind of seems like most people haven't, so maybe Saskatchewan is just way behind on everything or something. I wouldn't keep your hopes up but I wouldn't give up all hope yet, haha. I hate this limbo stage- applying to schools is just about the worst anxiety ever, lol.
  5. Just got this automatic reply from an email- don't give up hope yet! I am away from the office returning March 15. If you are inquiring about your application, the search committee is currently reviewing applications and will meet the beginning of March to make their first round offers. You should recieve a letter around March 18 with a decision.
  6. Anyone have any idea how long of a waitlist most schools have? For example, being "far down on the waitlist"- is that like there's 5 people ahead of me? 10? 20? Not really getting my hopes up, but just for the sake of knowing, haha.
  7. Not sure! I haven't heard anything about them having started, but I would guess that it's likely that some profs have probably done some, or have started to invite people.
  8. The profs aren't directly involved in the application process (they don't do interviews apparently), but they're still choosing applicants apparently- from what I heard they don't seem to have sent out any notices yet.
  9. No, not really! I emailed my POIs- the ones that have gotten back to me have said they've sent in their recommendations and done their short lists already, but no general info on whether all the profs had already completed interviews, etc.
  10. For those waiting to hear from Saskatchewan, the first round of offers will be going out in the beginning of March.
  11. For those waiting to hear from Concordia, the faculty members are currently still going through the applications and starting to send out interview invites/some have sent them out already. The final admission decisions will come out in early-mid March, and people will be notified by April.
  12. For those waiting to hear from Dalhousie, some faculty members have completed their interviews and sent out offers, but many are waiting on those students to accept/decline the offer. As such, rejections haven't really been made yet as the profs will go back to the application pool if they need more spaces filled or the students the professors gave offers to decline them.
  13. To those who have applied to Manitoba, interviews were completed this week. If you didn't have an interview, you likely are rejected as they have started to send out offers of admission, but haven't sent out their rejection letters yet.
