Anyone else accepted at UCF for spring 2017?
jenn108 replied to jenn108's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Puffer Fish, UCF cares about your CDS major classes and your last 60 units. I had a low overall low GPA due to a late change in major, but I had a 3.67 in my final 60 units and a 3.75 in my CDS major classes. -

I don't think there is one for spring, but I haven't really looked. Let me know if you find one -

Hello! I have recently been accepted into the UCF SLP masters program for spring 2017. I really just want to talk to other people who have also received their acceptances. Are you waiting to hear back from other schools before you accept? Is anyone coming from out of state to attend ( I would be moving from California ).? thoughts on finding a place to live and roommates to live with when we are starting school half way through a school year?

Hello, I am just wondering if anyone knows what SLP grad schools only look at the last 60 units and your major classes. I am also wondering if any of these schools have spring admission.

To get into grad school a lot of programs will look at you last 60 units, the problem is may last 60 units will mean that only half of the classes from my junior fall semester will count towards the 60 units. Which classes do they count when they calculate my 60 units GPA? Also some school look at your gap for your last two years, does a summer class get calculated into the last two years or is it just the fall and spring semesters?

2016 West Coast Applicants
jenn108 replied to hopefulspeechie16's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I am from the west coast (CSU-Fresno) and it is hard to get into west coast grad schools. My advisor says you need at 3.8-3.9 in you major classes to get into the programs. There are a lot of SLP bachelor degree programs in California and most students want to stay in California and out of state people want to move to California. Especially to SoCal! People tend to want to move to the east coast or the west coast, the less competitive grad schools are usually the midwest or the south.
