  1. I applied in 2016 as I was graduating in April, and was summarily rejected from all but one of the schools I applied to. However, looking back on it, I was incredibly overworked from internships, part time job, thesis dissertation and school finals. I had an idea of what I wanted to pursue in grad school but to be honest, I am glad I took the time to really consider what direction I wanted to take and actually do it vs figuring it all out during grad school. With that said, I have enjoyed making art and writing without all of the background noise of undergrad commitments. Sure, I still have to work and such, but I am much more focused now and a much better candidate this year than I was two years ago. If grad school doesn't happen this year, know that if you keep pushing and keep working, next year you will be an even better candidate! Best of luck with your applications!
  2. No interview, if it's any help I applied to the sculpture department, they might have different notification dates. And they also said they would contact me with more info within two weeks. There is still hope! Best of luck!
  3. Hi guys! Congratulations on all the interviews and acceptances so far. I have been a long time lurker here, I tried my luck in 2016 but it wasn't my time, so here I am giving it a go! This year I applied to the Sculpture programs at GSU, USF, UF, UK, USC at Columbia and UT at Knoxville. So far I have heard back from USF, and I am beyond excited, will be receiving more info about stipends and such within two weeks. Fingers crossed. Is anyone applying for external funding? Do you have any pointers or recommendations?
  4. Has anyone heard from GSU Studio Arts? I know a few of the successful candidates have been contacted, so I have been expecting a rejection letter for weeks now. Should I abandon hope and assume my application travelled into a blackhole?
  5. Gotcha, thank you! May is coming up pretty quickly though, hopefully it'll be a possitive response. Now if we could just get those emails...
  6. Well, this is driving me insane. My sister got a rejection this morning. I applied for the months of June-July, but no email yet. Does anyone know how many interns the museum takes per month? I remember reading something along the lines of 30, but I can't find where I got it from. Good luck everyone! I'll try to keep my sanity intact... Edit: I feel like 30 is a gross overestimation and my brain is playing tricks on me.
