Also, where are the waitlists?? Many programs that have released acceptances *usually* release their waitlists a day or two after the acceptances. But for a good handful it has been a week or so, and nothing still.

I knew pedigree mattered, but boy does it seem to matter. Seriously, is there anyone who has gotten into a T20 who did not also go somewhere Leiter-ranked (or highly ranked)?

Not sure why I can't edit my eariler post in this thread, but obviously, I spoke too soon.  I'll actually have a decision to make, so the anxiety won't be over anytime soon.

My decision will probably be made for me, but Calgary was probably my 4th or 5th choice, so I certainly won't be sad.  I don't really care if I end up in a less desired academic position (college, BA only institution), but placement data is still pretty important.  I just want to continue doing academics, and I didn't apply anywhere I'm not willing to go.

I really wish some of these schools would just reject the people they're going to reject at the same time they're accepting and waitlisting people so that those folks don't have to sit and wonder what's going to happen to their applications. I understand that unsuccessful applicants aren't prioritized as much, but I think it would really be appreciated.

Your goal should be to put together the very best application that you possibly can. If you have the financial means and the time, and are committed to undertaking graduate-level study, you should absolutely be planning to retake the GRE. 
Remember that you are applying alongside some very intelligent and dedicated students. Depending on the programs to which you are applying, your application will be one of 100-300. Many people will tell you that the GRE isn't all that important, and they might be correct (in some cases). But the bottom line is that you don't want to give an admissions committee any reason to pass quickly over your application. Low scores can also be the reason you don't get offered that nice fellowship (they almost always go to applicants with excellent scores).
Plus, since ETS now allows you to pick which set of scores gets reported, there isn't much risk involved in trying again.
If you feel like you can do better, and it sounds like you do, you should give it a shot. Best of luck to you on the rest of your application season and beyond!

I have unwarranted (and unprecedented) hope that the department has, unbeknownst to me, submitted my results on the Grad Cafe's database on my behalf and will notify me later in the manner stated. It would certainly be a favorable situation given that I did not hear anything from them and I would much desire to have such an offer.

Weekends are making me sad
