  1. I'm wanting to reach out to potential schools that have three year tracks/ "provisional" entry options. I want to present my stats and ask how I can be more competitive as an applicant. Has anyone done this, and how did you word it exactly? I feel as if there is a lot of ways I could mess up and come across as tacky. :/
  2. I have thought about this. One of my top school interests says it offers provisional admission for those who qualify. How do I inquire about this? Send an email to admissions asking if they would do a three-year track for someone who doesn't meet their minimum GPA?
  3. I have a 2.78 overall and 3.1 CSD major. Now, I work as an assistant teacher. I did a year of AmeriCorps. I volunteer in the hospital. Taking the GRE soon. It's recommended that I re-take some CSD classes. However, I don't have the funds. I want to get into a Master's program and not add anymore debt before then. What else can I do to clean up my undergraduate mess?
  4. Hello! I graduated two years ago with an undergraduate degree in CSD. My major GPA is 3.1 and overall a 2.8. I had some testing woes and a few non-CSD filler classes slay the GPA. After graduating , and after my advisor telling me to find a new career, I did a year of AmeriCorps in a low-income school as a teacher assistant and reading support staff, and as an after school teacher. I am now a lead summer teacher in a Montessori school, embarking on my third year of classroom experience. My question is, should I bother spending a thousand dollars re-taking a speech science and audiology class that I made a C+ in, or should I apply without touching the already set-in-stone GPA and depend on my LORs and new GRE score to better my chances? I don't care where I go to school. I want to be a school SLP more than anything.
