Working on an SoP right now for a great program.

Good luck. I'll start writing my SOP fairly soon. I started the application process by cleaning up and rewriting portions of my two writing samples which received outstanding grades, but I wanted them to be perfect. It took me three weeks to edit and rewrite, edit and rewrite, and finally edit and rewrite. They are finally ready to be read by the three professors that I've chosen in my MA program for final comments and approval--one of which was the original professor I wrote for the two papers. I will do the same method with the SOP, probably writing at three or four iterations until I feel confident enough to submit to the same three professors for final approval. I hope you have several professors that can give you guidance and constructive comments.

Don't wait a year to update your CV, kids. Just spent 3+ hours getting it updated... x]

After tomorrow I will have written around 20k words towards my graduate report (not counting appendices) so that's cool...

@Bibica, if that makes you a loser, then I'm a HUGE loser

2nd rejection- at least the POI wanted me. Doing some home spa time to relax and de-stress.

I hope you're getting cat hugs too! That's the thing that gets me, just because you're an awesome candidate doesn't seem to guarantee admission - seems like there really is a lot of luck. I'm surprised at how lucky I've been since I really am not that great of a candidate on paper. Let's see how the rest turns out, but for now, have a great day!! It's finally stopped raining in my neck of CA so maybe I'll go outside..

Today starts the last semester of my M.A.

My advisor says she's confident that I'll be able to finish my final report and graduate this spring! She was originally worried it might not be possible and I'd have to graduate in the summer, but I proved that I could finish a huge chunk of work over the break and she changed her mind!

Detailed Report Outline due tomorrow and I just finished writing out my timeline to graduate this spring. Suddenly I'm stressed about something other than waiting to hear about my apps, haha.
-
Spent some time with colleagues planning out an article we're writing and contemplating hosting a salon session together at a conference this spring. Not a bad day at work.

Need to clean and write up a detailed report outline, but all I want to do is finish part 2 of 1984...solution? Eat lunch and avoid all work, lol.

Trying this wait it out thing by working on some writing and playing with face masks. My nose currently has black gunk on it.

Finally figured out status updates, haha.
-
lol it took me a while too!

Status updates = when you're all caught up on the boards and have nothing new to add to the "waiting it out" thread
