  1. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! We should know if we're accepted in about 10 or so days too!!
  2. Dr. Spencer was very down to earth, understanding, and a pleasure to speak with on the phone. She'll make you feel really comfortable. The program seems really cool, but it is highly unlikely I'll attend there because it is more expensive than another school I've been accepted at and in a location that is less desirable to my family. I'd love to be a part of the first class there, and take some of the more specialized classes, but it doesn't seem realistic for me.
  3. Thank you! Do you happen to know about how many people were accepted off the waitlist last year? I would really love to go there... If not, I am really happy with my other school option, but WWU wouldn't be such a drastic move (still drastic, just not from coast to coast).
  4. I am also waiting to hear from CSUN. It's where I go for my undergrad, and we just finished up Spring Break. If their timeline for apps is anything like how they submit permission for classes (which I hear it is), then I would expect them to wait until the last minute. It's not exactly a bad thing as they are putting in the time for the students, but definitely all the waiting is rather tedious. Good luck!
  5. Yes I am going to be interviewing with them. I think there's a good chance I won't go there even if I get accepted, but I don't want to say no before the interview since I haven't fully committed to one school yet. They seem very interesting, but potentially too much $$. My phone interview is scheduled for Monday, 3/27. Did you apply to RMUofHP too?
  6. Your story of acceptance off the waitlist at WWU gives me some hope too. I was offered a spot on the waitlist at WWU (and at EWU too), and of course I have another school that has a $500 deposit due by 4/15!! So many decisions!! I've also been offered an interview with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions MedSLP master's program. (that name is a little longer than I'd like to say or type again). I thought there would be more certainty after decisions were made, but now it's even less certain!!
  7. I was waitlisted at EWU today! I thought I'd be rejected because I had issues connecting with them to Skype.
  8. Oh yeah, and Idaho!! Still waiting on them too. Hah. I don't even remember where I applied anymore.
  9. Still waiting on EWU, WWU, WSU (99% sure rejection since I didn't get an interview though), CSUN, Redlands, and RMUofHP. You know, only most of my schools.
  10. YES! I cannot begin to fathom what's about to happen if I go to school in Virginia. I need to win the lottery ASAP. (too bad I don't play the lottery).
  11. Hmmmm, so you'd recommend that if I go there and want some diversity, to live in Blacksburg? I have two daughters to consider, and offering them an environment filled with as much diversity as possible is important to me. I too have lots of tattoos (that I plan on covering during clinic) and am a bit of a liberal feminist. I do like the idea of living in a beautiful place though. Thank you very much for your perspective!
  12. It's how they do everything (not complaining, just the truth). If you get accepted, expect the same with department permission for classes each semester. It definitely forces you to learn patience, hah!
  13. I saw that too, and was rather grateful for the update! Thanks for letting us know.
  14. WWU (Western Washington) has a posting on their page that they anticipate acceptances to begin 3/17 (TODAY) and 3/18 (WHOAH), but no waitlists or rejections until 3/28 or so. I would really like to hear from them today or tomorrow. haha! Anybody else waiting on WWU? And I'm still waiting on EWU (Eastern Washington), which I interviewed with on 3/9. Anyone know anything about when to expect to hear from EWU? I'm over this process. I'm so glad I've been accepted somewhere because my nerves can't handle the insecurity and uncertainty! Now to just wait, wait, wait.
  15. Totally strange!! Yet, I respect them for telling me blankly that it'll take awhile and when I should realistically hear back instead of just being strung along (like other schools).
  16. Me too. The saga is over. No Pacific U for us. I'm okay with it.
  17. I haven't accepted an offer yet. Most of the programs I applied to are making me wait. The one I've been accepted to, I really like, but I need to be able to compare all my choices.
  18. Did anyone else get an email from Idaho State University about where they are with applications and that they'll start going over prereqs next week (and won't have the first round of notifications out until about 4/1)? They wanted to know if I (or whomever else received the email) had accepted another school's offer to let them know ASAP to make decisions go quicker.
  19. I go to CSUN for my undergrad. I wouldn't expect anything until around the end of the month or (more realistically) the beginning of April. I don't think they've even started looking at applications from what I've heard.
  20. I emailed her. Nothing. My ego is hurting.
  21. About 2/3rds of the programs I have applied to won't let me know until that timeframe. The waiting is not fun. However, we don't know the reasons why, maybe they're actually focusing on their current students and teaching them right now. Or maybe they're lazy (hah! Totally likely). We just don't know. Go ahead and complain here- it's what the forum is for. I just wouldn't begin to guess why the schools have set up timeframes the way they do. The anxiety will be over soon. Best of luck!
  22. Thank you for the brief rundown! That is helpful!! I will for sure be messaging you (after midterms this week, haha!). Congrats to you as well!
