    I thought on the CSDCAS FAQ it said that they don't notify you of your admission status. Hmmm, I am also curious how to check, as I have applied here too. The Fullerton portal still says that it's under review.

    I go to a university where this is the norm for many students, a "commuter's" university basically. It isn't fun, but totally realistic. I do have a friend that lives about 2 hours away. It is just far enough away where she ended up moving out here half the week, and driving home for weekends to be with her friends and family. Congrats on the acceptance!!

    Thanks! I actually did most of the same research you did, but I forgot about the city forums here on the gradcafe. I think maybe we have similar obsessive-checking/researching styles, hah! I am very nervous about the conservative aspect, but I'm hoping that maybe after the 2 years I could move to the northern part of Virginia where it leans more left. I don't really care about the college town social vibe as I am not 22 years old. I'm worried about the schools for my kids, and job opportunity for my husband. He might have to commute to Roanoke, or we'd commute from Roanoke... So much to consider. (Once I hear from other schools though, it'll be much clearer what will happen).

    Thanks! I was pretty nervous about my cumulative GPA and mediocre GRE scores. Have you taken any post-bacc CDS classes? That might help you greatly if you don't get in this year. Have you been to Radford? Can you tell me a bit about the area or the school or the program or all of the above? I am in Los Angeles, CA, and I can't go visit before I make a decision (If I am fortunate enough for choices) because it would cost too much.

    Thank you! CDS GPA: 4.0 (I'll be graduating in May with my undergrad in the major) Last 60 GPA: 3.9 Undergrad Cumulative GPA: 3.03 CSDCAS killed me and knocked my cumulative GPA down to 2.97 (academic forgiveness taken away, I presume) GRE V: 154 Q: 146 AW: 4.0 Best of luck to you!!

    I was sent an email from the department chair on Friday morning (I guess early afternoon on the east coast). Maybe they'll out more notifications next week? I am not sure.

    I hope they do send out rejections. I don't remember where, but I read it somewhere either in an email or on their page. I hope I am wrong there.

    I'm hoping for Monday too! I think the waitlist that was posted today on the admissions survey was dated for 3/9, Thursday. Other people might not check it as obsessively as us?

    I just don't understand how their admissions process works. I want it to be over. I don't even care anymore if I get in (now that I've been admitted to another program). It's like putting a bone in front of a dog's nose and saying, "you can't have this for 5 more minutes."

    I might be relocating my entire family (husband, 2 kids, a pug, & 3 kitties) from California to Virginia, and I'm terrified (but excited). I can't even begin to fathom how we'd move a whole house so far. I keep telling myself the cost of living is SOOOOOOoooooo much cheaper later on, and it's really pretty. If anyone plans on renting a U-Haul truck, it is cheaper to rent a Budget truck. We did that when we moved in-state (NorCal to SoCal).

    I see you've been accepted at Radford! I have too, and was wondering if you have happened to visit the campus or the area? If I don't get accepted elsewhere (and possibly even if I do get accepted elsewhere), I might be moving from California to Virginia. I'd love to hear anything about the area/campus/anything.

    I am also waiting to hear from Redlands, but I am not hopeful about being accepted in their program due to a discrepancy with CSDCAS. I read somewhere that they won't notify us of any rejection, only admission and waitlists. Good luck!

    So on the admission results page it shows that people have been officially admitted, waitlisted, and rejected at Pacific U. I have yet to hear anything. Is everyone else on this thread still in the dark? I'm expecting the worst, but hoping for the best.

    I've been accepted to Radford, and I am thrilled! However, I know NOTHING about the surrounding location or the campus or even the program really. I have spoken quite a bit with some of the faculty, and they do seem amazing. I am not sure if I'll be able to visit before I go there (or if I get accepted anywhere else, I want to know how to compare them). If you know anything about Radford University, please share your perspective!!

    I SHOULD HAVE GOOGLED HOW TO CALL SOMEONE ON SKYPE!!! I thought there would just be a spot to press to call someone, but nope. The only times I've ever used Skype was for studying with classmates, and they called me. I totally failed that aspect of the interview. hah. I'm definitely done with patience this grad school cycle! Being accepted somewhere does add some relief though. I might be able to slow down checking my emails at this point.

    Thank you!! It is a huge distance, that's for sure. If I get accepted elsewhere, it will be a tough decision. I wish you some west coast acceptances too!! How was your interview with EWU? I had mine yesterday, and Skype was a mess for me, but the interview wasn't bad at all.

    I have been accepted at Radford University!! So excited to finally get accepted somewhere. I was beginning to get real worried.

    I have been accepted to Radford University!!! This is my first acceptance, and I am beyond thrilled!!! I'm still waiting to hear from many schools, as this would be a huge move for my family, but WOW!!!! YAY!!! I get to show my girls that I can achieve my dreams if I try hard enough.
