I don't know how I missed this post, but I really wanna respond to it! I'm excited about Boise's program, honestly. I personally learn really well online (basically, my master's I just finished I took a ton of online classes for), and I love the flexibility online provides. That being said, i worry it will hurt the networking that typically goes on with GC being a small field. If I was applying for a third cycle (which I don't think I will be, one way or the other, because this year has taken a toll on me...), I would apply to Boise for sure! And I like that their fieldwork will be in a student's home geographic area. I really want to work in rural, under represented areas (like where I currently live) if I can actually can GET IN a program, so this would really appeal to me.

No, just assumption because I didn't get an interview. I would say no one is an official "Reject" until everyone who was offered interviews has RSVP'd to confirm them. While we wait though, please apply to another program. You're making me nervous with only two!!!!!

YES. Also know if you don't get in, at the end of the cycle you can ask for review and see what their suggestions are. I think a lot of people on this board will agree, applying the second time to the same program actually feels more difficult. But it also says "I'm still here, and I'm STILL trying!"

...You have MY EXACT FEELINGS right now!!!! I just checked my email. I don't have a Cincinnati reject letter in there either, yet. Never have I been so happy to have a school NOT email. I have the same hopes you have. We just need a few who were TOO qualified for their own good and decide they don't want an extra interview! My fingers are crossed for you too!

Anyone who got Cincinnati interviews--does it say in your emails how long you have to RSVP for an interview?

There are four programs that have not yet closed their applications. I would highly recommend throwing one more in there!

It wasn't phrased rudely. I'm summarizing. It was in a longer discussion. She wasn't rude about it, just honest (which I DO appreciate!!!)

I was told pretty much point blank by the WSU director that I wouldn't be considered unless they got a really poor pool of applications this cycle so, I don't expect to hear from them, period, until probably March or so when rejection letters go out, but I assume those of you who are more dream team material will be hearing in the next week. There was mention of the last week of January!!!!!

Does anyone know where all KGI's rotations will be? I'm listening to their prospective student recording thing from last week and it gives more clarity, but not an extensive amount?

Thanks. I initially considered applying there, as they don't require a GRE if you have a master's, but I'm deficient a semester of gen chem by their requirements and the fee seemed HUGE to get another rejection. I guess it can't hurt to call them and see!

You can just call, too. She's really nice and sometimes it's better to know than not know. It's more up to your personality type, I think. I would rather flat out be told NO than hold out hope that's an illusion (I'm one of those people that hates surprises though, haha). Regardless, she said they're going out for the rest of the day so you're not out of the game yet!

Thank you for the encouragement, but I just called. She checked in the system. I'm not one of the 48. However, she says I'd be a waitlist if someone turns down an interview (unlikely, but I guess you never know!)

Those of you who got Cincinnati interviews congrats! They were my top choice, it does feel good to be rejected by them two years in a row though. Does anyone have a guess on if they sent them all in one group? They're interviewing 48.

I started shaking when I read these posts. Checked my email. I don't have one. Guess that settles that! I'd assume they all went out at the same time? If you got yours 20-30 mins ago if I was getting one it would be here by now. Crushing. Indiana is interviewing 55. Where is everyone else??
