    Haven’t heard anything from Columbia yet either. I think Yale EMD will be sending out their decisions soon!

    Hi there! I applied to Columbia EPI. I had my second round interview last week (and was told it would be the final round). They said they would try to move as quickly as possible regarding their decisions, and said generally at most ~ 2 weeks ....

    An update for my Columbia Epi folks! I just got an email to interview with the admissions committee in the next week...

    I heard back from Yale EMD last week and was invited to their on-campus interview day two weeks from now. Likewise, I heard there will be few spots, though that is usually the case with their program. .. Unrelated, has anyone heard back from Columbia EPI? I did see that one person heard back about another track/training program within EPI.

    Congrats! Do you have any tips or advice to offer as one of my top choices waitlisted me, and I also have no other offers at this point. So crossing my fingers that things pan out 😅

    Still waiting on UC Berkeley - Epi! I have heard nothing from them and emailed them this week to see what was up -- no response from them (yet) lol

    To those waiting to hear back from U Michigan, I just got my official rejection -- I saw it coming, though, since I wasn't invited to their interview days early in January. ? Hoping others have good news!!!

    Oh man - sorry to hear - but crossing my fingers for you! Out of curiosity, when did you hear about U Mich? I have heard nothing from the program, but I could have sworn someone said they were already hosting an interview day?

    That's interesting! I went to an info session in like late November for the Epi track and they said they were planning to accept 8-10 students ... I am also a current student in the program ... so I can try snooping around ?

    I have been too -- because someone on the results section for Hopkins (another speciality) stated they got an automatic rejection on the portal but are confused b/c they also got a request to interview later this week ... so now I'm like, is their portal broken ... am I really rejected ... what does this all mean ? Me right now:

    Those applying to JHU EPI - - I just randomly checked the portal and saw they posted my decision letter! Rejection w/o interview -- oh well, onto the next one!

    To those who are wondering about Yale's PhD EMD program - I got invited last week to their interview day in February. Has anyone heard from the following PhD programs: JHU ID Epi; Harvard PHS - Epi (ID); UCLA Epi; UC Berkeley Epi; Univ. Washington Epi; Univ. Michigan Epi; or Columbia Epi?

    I applied to nine programs (all in Epi or related) but haven't heard a peep from one -- I did email each program last week to send in my fall course grades, and they all replied saying they would upload them to my application package. Perhaps wishful thinking on my part, but they wouldn't agree to do so if they already rejected me ??

    Just got my last decision back (UCLA ID EPI)! 4/4 rejections. Time to start prepping for the next application cycle.. lol As much as it stings, I'm allowing myself just 5 minutes to feel down. To those who are in the same boat, as much as we hate to hear it, it's a pretty random process. On paper, I would have a pretty competitive application (20 peer reviewed articles, several first author publications, 5+ years of professional experience, led some workgroups in collab. with CDC, great LORs, decent grades), but alas it all comes down to right time, right place. ?

    Congratulations!!! And also I just emailed them and they responded pretty quick saying the Epi department will be completing their reviews and submitting their final decisions to the larger school by the end of this week. So just a little bit longer Out of curiosity, @epi2be, did you interview with anyone before receiving your acceptance?

    Also received a rejection from Harvard PHS. As others, saw it coming but it still hurts a little lol ... I'm still waiting on one at this point. UCLA EPI. Anyone heard anything from them? They have been silent.

    May I ask what did you write to these programs to elicit some feedback? Because when I've done that in the past, most of the time they just quote their policy which is not to provide feedback on individual applicants...I only got one program to actually sit down on the phone with me to go over the play-by-play on why they passed on my application, but that was the same program I got my MPH from ... so it was more of a under the table / out of courtesy thing lol ??

    Ditto. Rejected from JHU and U of Washington. Still waiting to hear back from Harvard and UCLA. ID Epi tracks. ?
