Thank you all so much! You've been so helpful. I think the only reason I was worried was because my undergrad has an on-campus clinic that I am currently completing my senior practicum in and so that's the only reality I know for the "real-life SLP world".
Your posts have all been very encouraging and I think I also see not having an on-campus clinic as a pro more so than a con. It will be so beneficial to be pushed out of the nest to see if you can fly! I appreciate all the support and encouragement and reassurance! 

Hey everyone!
So I was just accepted to Wichita State for grad school and am choosing between WSU and Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
I have never been to Kansas and am from Michigan originally so I am not familiar with the South or West at all but am planning on visiting before I make my final decision. Can anyone give any information of the school or the area?

Yeah, ABA is Applied Behavioral Therapy. It's working with kids on the autism spectrum, it's really similar to speech therapy! I worked with ABA therapists last year and loved it. I believe you only need a Bachelors in a related field (Communicative Sciences and Disorders works!) They will just need to give you a little bit of specific training. If I wasn't going to grad school, that's definitely what I would do because I loved it! Let me know if you have any other questions
Yeah my mom always told me whenever I stressed "we both know this is what you're meant to do with your life so no matte what it will happen." And if you have  a waitlist, you'e already almost there! There are many many people that end up getting off waitlists, I had a friend last year that was sure she wasn't going to grad school and got accepted like 3 days before classes started, so don't give up hope!

I wanna know too! It looks like all of the results are waitlists and no acceptances, so maybe it's good news if we haven't heard anything yet?! I keep constantly refreshing my email! UGH

I wasn't just accepted to ACU Dallas too! And haven't heard from App state but I can't wait to hear!

I agree! I had my interview yesterday and I loved it! They were so welcoming and sweet and it was so comfortable. I didn't even feel like I was in an interview after the first fe mins, just felt like I was in a conversation. They have a very good back and forth during the interview.
Good luck to everyone still interviewing! Can't wait to hear back!

Hi all! Just got emails from Grand Valley State University and West Virginia University for interviews! West Virginia on Friday the 24th and Grand Valley on Saturday the 25th. Looks like it's gonna be a long weekend of roadtripping!

I'm also in the same boat! I have always held at least one, sometimes even two jobs while in undergrad and it would be SO HARD for me to not wok during graduate school. If anything i possible, I would say probably waitress or bar-tending. I do that currently and only work Saturdays and Sundays and am still able to take home around $300 per weekend. Babysitting is also good, I've gotten jobs from care.com and it's nice to find something that is flexible and works well with your schedule.
Hopefully those of us that really need it will find a way to work!
Oh and also, I am in an undergrad program right now that works in the clinic alongside grad students and I hear a lot of them talking about how they babysit frequently so I guess that's a good sign!

@SLP0008 Hi! I applied to Georgia State! I didn't know there was an interview but I haven't heard anything from them yet either. But it's good to know someone else applied!

Does anyone know any info about Georgia State? I know there is an interview March 3rd, but I don't know around when we will find out if we got the interview, or a lot about the program. Any info is appreciated!
