  1. I know two people at OISE in the MT for J/I and they actually told me they can just take courses to upgrade to I/S anyways. Perhaps contact OISE to see if this is indeed an option. I am thinking it is a possibility they didn't offer admission for I/S because the biology teachable automatically leads to the ability to teach general science, rendering those two teachables as 1 teachable. Also, once you graduate and gain OCT you can always go back and take an additional qualification (AQ) course to add the intermediate/senior division.
  2. If you do the MA then you're able to teach JK up to grade 6 (primary-junior division) The MT has the primary-junior division but also has to junior-intermediate (grade 4-10), and intermediate-senior (grade 7-12) I do not know too much about the MA but I think one difference is that you focus on development more.
  3. I'm starting to wonder if the MT is worth it. I've heard mixed things. I wanted to go to OISE because I know having a masters gives me and edge and I was under the impression it gets you higher in the pay grid. But current students I know enrolled are saying going to OISE and anywhere else won't make a difference and we will be in the same category in the pay grid. I'm questioning if going to York where my tuition is lower would be a better choice if I'm going to be in the same category (A3) in the pay grid anyways. I think many students are worried about this because I just noticed they updated the page on the site about the MT program to include info about the pay grid. What at do you guys think?
  4. From creeping old threads on this site I believe "invited" means accepted as well. But I also think just having the program show up on your ROSI probably means you got in. The MA and MT applications are evaluated differently, so it seems like you were accepted into the MT. I think we should get letters early March for 100% confirmation.
  5. In another thread from last year about the MT program, someone posted that they called UofT to ask what "financially cancelled" meant and they were told that it means that your offer is conditional, because your degree(s) are still in progress! This makes sense, because I graduated last year, so my status is different than yours.
  6. have you checked your ROSI or ACORN account yet?
  7. No problem! That's likely why it says that. Also, try to log into ACORN and click "enroll & manage" then click "programs" and check what it says there!
  8. I believe they will send out letters around the 2nd-3rd week of March, but I went to an OISE session for the MT program and they told us they want to roll out admission decisions sooner this year to be in sync with other schools!
  9. yes, I went there for my undergrad. On my ACORN account it shows me as "enrolled" in the program as well.
  10. Soon as I log on it's on the front page! I wouldn't worry or take it as an absolute sign, and keep checking your ROSI because it could change!
  11. I've heard other students who got in the past had that show up as well, but later on switched to "invited" and they received acceptances!
  12. Heads up, if you guys log into ROSI or ACORN there may be indication of whether you've been accepted or not! On my ROSI account the MT program is listed and the status says "invited"
  13. I logged onto my ROSI account and it lists the MT program and my status is "invited" SGS isn't updated yet, and I haven't received a letter yet, but I know past students found out they were accepted by checking their ROSI account!
  14. check your account! fairly confident theyve let some people in
