Yup, it's there. I'm going crazy, too. The rush you get from that first acceptance is HUGE, and I haven't really received any results, LOL.

They are pretty cagey on Twitter. It's always "sometime before the new year" (for MIA though, no idea about PEPM). I hope they didn't have a surge in apps like Harris did. I have my fingers crossed for today, but that may be overly optimistic.

SAME! I checked it last night and there wasn't a decision icon there. It must have popped up sometime this morning. What's the point of doing it a day plus in advance? LOL. At least we know they didn't lose our applications.

SIPA emailed me today to ask me about something in my app. Hopefully that's an acceptance kind of indication lol.

On one hand, yikes. On the other, if few people applied EA in the first place a 168% increase isn't as impressive as it appears on paper. But here's to hoping that a larger class size tides us over.

On a lighter note, just got home to Chicago and found the Harris happy holidays note crammed in with stuff from law schools. I think my dad missed it and forgot to tell me, LOL.

I've heard HKS really discourages college seniors from applying, but that's pretty much it. This question has the following assumption: other areas are strong. Only obvious weakness is no full-time WE. -
And I'm referring to MPP/MPA.

Does anyone know the number of people applying/admitted/admit rate for EA at SIPA or Harris? Even getting current overall admissions percentages is more difficult than I thought it would be...

I just wrote to them saying I was an MPP applicant, and they sent me a form link. I think I got mine due to financial need. Fair warning: some schools (SIPA, SAIS, Duke), do not have need based waivers. Others (HKS, Harris) you need to write to admissions and maybe wait a few/days weeks for approval depending on when you apply. Not every school that has need-based waivers will advertise it on the website.

Definitely emails to log into the status checker. I don't think they call, but I could be wrong. I think for many places you are given an email to go into the status checker, but this is my first time doing the process, too.

Yeah, I don't think we should necessarily read too much into the lack of forum activity thus far. Perhaps more people are going to apply RD/less apply EA/ED, and the overall numbers don't change too much. And of course the caveat that GradCafe may not be representative of the population. The more interesting question may be: if there are fewer people applying this year for govt. programs, what are those people doing? That says a lot about perceptions of the current political and economic climate. Just my 2 cents. -

Do other EA people have "review next steps for fall 2018 admitted students to understand your checklist items" on their application status page? I honestly can't remember if it was there before. xD

Amen on these posts. I did Wagner, HKS, WWS, Harris (EA), and SIPA (EA). Praying for some good Birthday results for the latter 2.

My internships were in government but offers are contingent on open spots, which are unpredictable.

University: Russian Area Studies and Economics double major at top LAC / GPA: 3.52 GRE: 166V 161Q 4.5W Work experience: Baby senior with only some (very good) internships in public service. Really hoping for an acceptance for my birthday and have no idea what will happen. Also applied EA.
